Your POV
I sat on the porch of mine and my brothers house. Shiro was my brother, but also like a dad to me. Our parents died a couple years ago in a car accident, and ever since he's protected me and taken care of me.

The cool spring breeze ran through the air, blowing my h/l, h/c hair lightly. I looked out onto the road. It was full of cars and kids walking down the sidewalk. It was spring break, so kids lined the streets, riding bikes, skateboards, and just walking.

"It's a beautiful day today." Shiro said as he sat next to me. I hummed and smiled, keeping my gaze on a large tree that sat in our front yard. I looked to my left and saw our old rose bush. Our mother had planted that years ago. It's been around for years, and it just never seems to die.

"Oh. Before I forget. My friend Keith is coming over this afternoon. He needs some help on improving his battling skills. I hope you don't mind." Shiro said as he stood up, stretching a bit in the process.

"I don't mind at all. I'll probably be upstairs reading." I said, smiling.

"That's all you do these days." He said as he ruffled my hair. I smiled and closed my eyes.

"I love you Y/N." Shiro said as he kissed my head.

"I love you too dad." I said with a giggle, looking up at Shiro, he rolled his eyes and walked back into the house. I got up and also stretched. I ran inside and upstairs into my room. I opened the door to my f/c room and walked inside. I opened my drawer and grabbed a grey crop top and a pair of jeans. I slipped on the fresh clothes and grabbed my favorite book, Out of my Mind, and sat down on my bed.

I took a deep breath and closed my book. I got off of my bed and stretched. I put my book on my nightstand and smiled.

"Y/N! Come down! Keith is here!" Shiro yelled from downstairs.

"Coming!" I yelled as I ran my brush through my hair. I slipped on my f/c converse and ran down the steps. I reached the bottom and looked up to see Shiro and a man standing next to him that I suppose was Keith. He wore a red jacket that had yellow and red decorations on it. He wore tight black jeans and white, red, and black boots. His hair was raven black, and was long. And his eyes. Oh his eyes. They were a dark purple color, and I swear I could see my future in those eyes.

"Ohhh Y/N? You ok?" Shiro asked. I shook my head, coming out of my daze.

"Uh yeah! Sorry! I'm Y/N!" I said as I stuck my hand out. Keith smiled and shook my hand.

"I'm Keith. It's nice to meet you Y/N." Keith said, blushing a very slight crimson color. I nodded and he smiled.

"We will be out back." Shiro said. I nodded and watched as Shiro walked outside, Keith following. Once they got outside, I squealed and ran upstairs. I sat on my bed and looked out the window. I watched as Shiro taught Keith how to fight better. I smiled and watched.

  After a while I went out front and sat on the porch steps again. I heard the door open and footsteps behind me. I turned around and there stood Keith. He grabbed his pack of cigarettes and his lighter, lighting the cigarette in one swift movement.

"Mind if I sit next to you?" Keith asked. I shook my head and moved over. He sat next to me and let out a puff of smoke.

"You smoke those things?" I asked, looking at Keith as he took the cigarette out of his mouth.

"Yeah. But Shiro gets pissed when I smoke them. So he makes me come out here and smoke." He said as he chuckled. I giggled and nodded.

"Yeah. That sounds like Shiro." I said. Keith smiled and looked over at me.

"So. You're his little sister right?" Keith asked.

"Yep. Our parents died a couple of years ago, so he takes care of me." I said. Keith nodded and took another puff of his cigarette.

"What about you? Do you have any siblings?" I asked, looking over at him. He took his cigarette out of his mouth and put it on the ground, stomping on it and pushing it to the side. He put his lighter and his pack of smokes in his jacket pocket.

"Nope. I don't really have a family. I'm a loner I guess." He said as he looked at me, smirking gently.

"Oh. I'm sorry." I said, looking down at the ground.

"Meh. It's ok. I'm used to it I guess." He said, looking over at our rose bush.

"You know, roses are my favorite flower." He said as he stood up. I stood up also and smiled.

"Yeah. Me too. My mom planted that bush a long time ago. And it's never ever been to the point of dying. Shiro tells me it's my mom staying around." I said with a smile. Keith smiled and looked at me.

"You know, you're very beautiful." He said as he picked a small rose off the bush. He picked the thorns off, getting pricked in the process. I blushed and he put my hair behind my ear, lightly placing the rose behind my ear. I smiled and looked up at him. He looked down at me and grabbed my chin, moving me closer to him. I closed my eyes and our lips connected. Sparks flew and it was the best kiss I've ever had. We pulled away and I smiled, looking up at the ravened hair boy.

"Would you like to be my girlfriend Y/N?" Keith asked, wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Mmm alright." I said. He smiled and pecked my cheek.

"I leave you two alone for five minutes and now you two are dating." Shiro said. I looked over at him and blushed.

"Shiro! Ugh." I said, blushing and burying my head in Keith's chest. The two males laughed and Keith kissed my head.
