Whenever you get closer to your soulmate, your body temperature goes up. Once you get with your soulmate, you and that persons body heat will be the same for life.

Your POV
  I sighed as I walked down the long sidewalk in New York City. It was a rather breezy day, a slight chill running down my spine. It was rather cold for the November day, but I didn't expect much out of this busy city. I held my purse close to my body and my jacket wrapped around my dainty waist. My temperature was colder than usual, and I didn't put much effort into trying to find my soulmate. I get so jealous when I see some girl find her soulmate on the streets. With my luck, my soulmate is probably in African or Japan. I sighed as I walked into my small painting place on the corner. I flicked on the lights and smiled as the smell of paint filled the air. I walked towards the back of the small shop and I hung my coat and purse up. I grabbed my smock and laced up my converse. I walked towards the front of the store and turned the sign so it read open. I rushed over towards the paints and got them ready as I heard the bell chime, signaling someone was walking in. I quickly turned around and smiled as I saw a tall boy and a smaller girl. My body temperature rose very quickly, making me sweat. I shook my head and walked over to them.

'Hello! My name is Y/N! Welcome to PaintAPlate! What Can I do for you two today?" I asked. The small girl smiled and looked up at me.

'I'm Katie! And this is my older brother, Matt!' She said. I looked up at the boy and my heart fluttered. He had longish blond hair and wore a dark hoodie with skinny, blue jeans.

'H-hi.' He said, blushing. I tore my eyes away from him and smiled.

'Alright! What would you two like to paint today?' I asked, looking over at the small and large glass statues that stood on a large shelf.

'Can I paint that lion?' She asked, pointing to a medium sized figurine of a lion.

'Sure! And what would you like, Matt?' I asked, getting the figurine from a large box that sat in a cabinet. I handed it to Katie then looked up at Matt.

'Uhhh I'll do the UFO.' He said, pointing to an already painted UFO. I had painted that a couple of weeks again, since I was really into Sci-Fi.

'No problem!' I said, getting the small porcelain figurine and handed it to him. He grabbed it from my hand and nodded. My body heat went up very high as I stood in front of the lanky boy. He could never be my soulmate, right?

'Alright! You guys can pay at the end. You can use any color paint you want, just don't use a lot. If you need any help I'll be up at that table over there painting another figurine.' I said.

'Alrighty! Why don't you come sit with us then!' Katie said. Matt slowly nodded and I shrugged.

'Alright sure.' I said. I grabbed the small, porcelain f/a (favorite animal) and sat on the other side of Matt and Katie.

•Timeskip•
  Busy was super slow that day, the only real customers I had was Katie and Matt.

'All done! Phew finally!' Katie said, looking down at her green lion. I looked over at Matt who had just finished painting a grey and red UFO that had a small alien inside.

'Aww they look great! You can leave them there and I'll put them in the oven and I'll call you when they're done!' I said. Katie and Matt nodded before standing up. I rushed over to the desk and they paid.

'Uhhh Katie I have to use the bathroom. I'll meet you in the car.' Matt said. The smaller girl nodded and rushed out toward her car.

'Hey Y/N. Can I talk to you?' He asked. I nodded and looked up at him as I grabbed there small figures and put them on the counter.

'Was it really... warm in here for you?' He asked. I blushed and slowly nodded.

'I-I think you're my soulmate.' He whispered. I blushed and looked away.

'You are very beautiful you know. I hope I get to see you soon.' He said, kissing my cheek and walking out. I blushed crazily and smiled.

•3 Weekes later.•
  I smiled as I watched Katie and Matt walk into the small painting place. Me and Katie have been talking a lot over the past three weeks, and I can't get Matt out of my mind.

'Hey Y/N!!' She yelled, hugging me. I smiled and hugged back. Matt stood behind her quietly and looked down at her hands.

'Hey Pidge! Hey Matt!' I said. Katie rather me call her Pidge than Katie. Matt looked up and smiled then blushed. I ran behind the counter and handed them both there two figurines that were wrapped in newspaper.

'Thanks.' Matt said. I nodded and Matt bent down and kissed my lips lightly. My eyes widened as my body temperature raced to a nice warm temperature. I kissed back lightly and we pulled away.

'I love you, Y/N. From the first time I met you I know you were my soulmate, because I've never been so warm and full of love when I'm around you.' He whispered to me. I blushed and smiled, looking up at him.

'I love you too Matt.' I said. He smiled and planted a small kiss on my forehead.

'I FUCKING KNEW IT!!' Pidge yelled. Me and Matt both turned around to see Pidge smiling like crazy.

'I BETTER GET NIECES AND NEPHEWS!!' She yelled.

'Pidge!!' We both yelled.
