Your POV
I sat at my lunch table, eating alone as usual. I took a deep breath and took a bite out of my sandwich. I heard footsteps come up from behind me. I turned around and there stood my bully, Lotor. He smiled and crossed his arms across his chest.

"Well well well. Look who it is. Hi Y/N." Lotor said. I took a deep breath, not daring to make eye contact with him.

"Aww poor little thing doesn't have a voice. Too bad." Acxa said, standing behind Lotor. I looked up at them and they both smiled, there sharp teeth showing. Acxa grabbed a bottle of milk and poured it on my head, soaking my h/l h/c hair. My eyes widened as it soaked the top of my shirt. The two laughed as I grabbed my backpack and phone, running out of the cafeteria and school. I ran towards my hiding spot, the lake. I made it there, smiling as I saw my favorite dock. I walked out onto the wooden platform, sitting down at the end of it. I took off my shirt and changed into my f/c gym shirt. I took off my shoes and socks, dipping my feet in. Tears escaped my eyes as i ran a hand through my hair, feeling the gross milk in my hair. I looked down into the water to see a pair of eyes that weren't mine. My eyes widened as a boy with long blonde hair and brown eyes submerged from the water. I quickly took my feet out of the water, eyeing the creature. I looked in the water to see a orange mermaid tail taking the place of his legs.

"I didn't mean to scare you. I'm Matt." He said, smiling up at me warmly. I smiled back.

"I'm Y/N." I mumbled. wiping away my tears.

"What's wrong?" He asked, putting his muscular arms on the dock.

"I'm being bullied in school..." I mumbled, looking down at the merman. He frowned.

"You seem nice. Why would someone bully you?" He asked, looking up into my e/c eyes.

"That's what all my friends and family says. I'm not sure why." I said, sighing and looking into the water.

"I live in these waters. I will be here if you ever need someone to talk to." He said, smiling fondly up at me. I smiled and nodded.

"Thanks Matt. Ill see you tomorrow then." I said, smiling and standing up. He smiled and waved, jumping back into the water. I smiled and put my shoes back on, walking home.

•Timeskip•
Months had flown by and I met up with Matt everyday after school. We would talk about his mermaid friends and family, and i would talk about my brother and mom. He made my days a lot better, and I slowly began to grow a crush on him. I walked out of the school, not knowing Lotor and Acxa were behind me. I walked to the dock and smiled. I put my backpack down and looked for Matt.

"So this is your little hiding spot." I heard Lotor's familiar voice behind me. My eyes widened and I turned around to see the two.

"Just go away Lotor. I never did anything to you." I said, staring at him. He smiled and pushed me into the water. My eyes widened as I began to float down to the bottom of the water. The one thing I couldn't do was swim. I tried screaming, but I felt my lungs begin to fill with water.

•Matt's POV•
I began to swim to mine and Y/N's meeting spot when I saw her sinking towards the bottom of the ocean. My eyes widened, remembering how Y/N couldn't swim. I raced towards her, grabbing her small body in my arms. I raced to the surface, gently placing her on the land. I gave her mouth to mouth and pumped on her chest, watching as she began to cough up water. Her beautiful e/c eyes opened again and she was staring at me.

"Matt..." She whispered. I smiled and put my hand on her cheek.

"Are you ok?" I asked. She smiled and slowly nodded. I smiled and blushed as I looked down at her. Sure she looked disheveled and exhausted, but she was gorgeous. She caught me staring and put her hand on my cheek. I smiled and moved my way in, kissing her lips lightly. She kissed back, holding my cheek in her hand. I pulled away and smiled down at her. Before I knew it, her legs began to morph into a mermaid tail with beautiful f/c scales. Both of our eyes widened as her clothes disappeared and she had a tale. She turned bright red and covered her chest with her arms.

"Y-Y/N I am so sorry! I didn't know that would happen!" I said nervously. She smiled and admired her new tail.

"It's ok Matt. Now I get to spend the rest of my life with you. But first please get me a bra." She said, giggling. I blushed and nodded, diving down into the water and coming back up with a f/c bra. I looked away as she put it on and I smiled as she grabbed my face, kissing me lightly. I kissed back, wrapping my arms around her hips.

"Cmon. You have lots of people to meet." I said, smiling and grabbing her hand. She smiled and squeezed my hand, both of us swimming deeper into the ocean.

Your POV
   Two years had gone by and Matt were so happy together. Being a mermaid was so fun and meeting Matt's friends and family was so fun too. We ended up getting a house together close to Matt's family home so we could all still talk and stay together.

"Y/N~" I heard Matt call. I turned around and smiling, seeing my handsome boyfriend swimming towards me.

"Hello my love." I said, smiling. He smiled and kissed me passionately. I kissed back, running my hands through his hair. He pulled away from me and smiled, staring into my eyes. I turned bright red and smiled.

"I'm in love with you." He mumbled in a hushed voice. I felt like a tomato in that moment.

"I'm in love with you too, Matt." I said, smiling. He blushed and smiled, kissing me again.

And we both lived happily ever after.
