Pidge's POV
  We laid on the floor of our empty apartment. My boyfriend, Y/N, laid next to me, giving me most of the small blanket we had to share. We finally bought this apartment after having our daughter, Emmy. My family and Y/N's family didn't approve of us having our daughter, so the only way we'd be together is if we did it alone. Y/N works two jobs to try and support us, and it's so hard for us to get by. I closed my eyes as the moonlight shined in through the wide windows. As soon as I began to fall asleep, Emmy began to cry. I sat up quickly, hoping to not wake up Y/N. Before I knew it, he was running off to grab Emmy.

'Shhhh it's ok baby girl. We're gonna be ok.' He whispered, singing softly in her ear. She soon feel back asleep, and Y/N returned to lay next to me.

'Thanks.' I said, smiling and blushing. He smiled and kissed my cheek. He put his hand on my chest, feeling my heart beat. He knew exactly when I was stressed or nervously.

'Listen to me Katie. I promise you we will be just fine. We have a beautiful daughter and an apartment. Sure we might not have money or a big house, but we have each other. I wouldn't trade you or Emmy for anything.' He said. I smiled and pecked his lips.

'I-I know. I just want our daughter to grow up happy and healthy.' I said.

'And she will. And she is. She has the strongest mother I know. I promise we're gonna get through this hard time. Before we know it we're gonna have money flowing out of our ears!' He said. I giggled and punched his arm playfully.

'Thank you Y/N. I love you." I said. He smiled and kissed my cheek.

'I love you too baby. And once things get better, I'm gonna put a ring on that finger.' He whispered, pointing to my hand. I blushed and nodded. He laid back down, and I laid my head on his chest. We soon fell asleep to the bright moon shining down on us.

•The Next Day•
  I woke up to hear soft giggling of Emmy. I sat up to see her standing in her crib, holding a small, plush bear Y/N had gotten her when he first found out I was pregnant. I smiled and walked over to her crib, picking her up.

'Mmm hi baby girl.' I said, smiling. She giggled and I kissed her cheek. I looked over at our floor mattress to see Y/N already gone. I sighed and changed Emmy's diaper. I put her down to play for a bit before changing myself. I fed Emmy then made myself a quick lunch with the stuff we kept in our mini cooler. We didn't have enough money for furniture and we were so desperate to get a place we didn't care what was it in. I held Emmy on my lap as I ate.

•Timeskip•
  I put Emmy down for her nap and sighed. The door flew open to reveal Y/N, who held an envelope and a huge smiled on his face. He ran into the apartment and picked me up, spinning me around and kissing my lips. I giggled and he put me down.

'What's the occasion?' I asked, looking up at him.

'Here. Open this.' He said, handing me the envelope. I quickly opened it up to see a letter.

'Dear Mr Y/N, L/N. Thank you so much for all of the hard work in our corporation. We definitely appreciate all of your hard work and long hours. We have heard that you and your family have been hitting a rocky road, so to help out, we want you guys to have this check for 5,000 dollars. We also want you to have a promotion and work up top with the big guys. I hope this will help and I'm glad to work with you
-Keith Kogane." I read the letter out loud, tears pricking my eyes.

'N-no way!' I whisper yelled. Y/N nodded and i looked up at him, kissing and hugging him. He smiled and hugged back.

'See. I told you it'll all work out.' He said, smiling.

'Well cmon! Grab the baby we're going furniture shopping!!' I yelled. Y/N laughed and nodded, grabbing the baby and heading out.

•Timeskip again•
We got home and ended up just getting a bed for me and Y/N, and a refrigerator. We had 1,500 dollars left, that was just gonna be used for groceries and clothes for Emmy. Y/N brought in the huge box that was our bed, and put in on the floor.

'Need any help?' I asked, looking up at him. He smiled and ran his hand through his h/l, h/c hair.

'Nah babe. I think I can do it. Thank you though.' He said, kissing my lips quickly. I smiled and held Emmy as I watched Y/N push the big box into our room. I stood in the doorway, watching as he took everything out of the box and poured it onto the floor. I giggled as he threw the instructions to the side. I let him go and went to put Emmy down for a nap. I walked back into the bedroom to see Y/N beginning to put the frame together. I smiled and leaned against the door, watching as he wiped his forehead to get the sweat off. I blushed as he noticed me staring and he smiled, flexing. I blushed even darker and he laughed. I giggled and he stood up, grabbing my hips and kissing my cheek lightly. I hummed and looked up at him, looking up at his beautiful e/c eyes. Those damn eyes are the reason I'm here, with him and our daughter. Though I wouldn't trade it for the world.

'I love you Katie.' He said, putting his thumb underneath my chin.

'I love you too, Y/N.' I said. He pulled away and ran to his jacket. He opened up the pocket and pulled out a small box. He came back and smiled, handing it to me. I slowly opened it to see a beautiful grey banded ring with a small, green gemstone in the middle.

'I know it's not an engagement ring, but this ring is my promise to you that I will marry your cute butt. It might not be now, but I promise it'll me soon.' He said nervously. I blushed and smiled, slipping the small ring on my finger.

'Y/N! I love it so much! Thank you!' I yelled, hugging and kissing him. He laughed and kissed back. I pulled away and looked down at my ring, blushing greatly. He put his hand around my waist and put his chin on my head.

'I told you we will be fine. And I promise we will be.'
