Thanksgiving morning Sam's mom woke us up to the biggest breakfast I've ever had.

"This is magnificent Mrs. Murano." I told her putting another fork full of blueberry waffles and eggs into my mouth.

"Thank you Mya, it means a lot hearing it from you." She said.

"I've always like you cooking Mrs. Murano what do you mean?" I asked.

"She means that since you've traveled the world you must have the most confisticated pallet." Sam said drinking some orange juice.

"Oh come on you guys know me. I only ate like that with my dad. The last two years he was here we didn't eat fancy food like you think. I remember my dads last two years on this earth. He would come up with the most interesting things for us to do. We cooked all of our favorite movie snacks and food. We popped popcorn with hot sauce and mustard, made peanut and jelly sandwiches and salt and vinegar chips. That's all we ate for the whole day and later that night all of us were on the toilet all night. But it's times like that, that I'm most thankful. And I want to thank you guys for including me in your family all these years and for being sincere. Even when you guys found out about my family you treated me no different." I told them.

"Your welcome. You're like the sister I never had." Sam said.

"You miss him don't you?" Mrs. Murano asked.

"More than anything. I would do anything just to be in his presents again." I said.

"You have to remember your memories and cherish them. And you also have to learn how to forgive." Mrs Murano said looking up at me. "Now ladies finish this food. Sam the kitchen is clean so all I need for you ladies to do is put the food away. Then pack an overnight bag for your stay at Ms. Jackson's house. I don't think I have to say this but please no mischief tonight." She told us. We both nodded to agree.

"I'm going to take a nap. Wake me in a hour if I'm not already up." She told leaving us at the table.

2 hours later we were being dropped off at my grandmothers house.

"Alright ladies remember no mischief. I don't want any calls about you two wondering off anywhere either. I will pick you guys up sometime tomorrow. Mya if it gets to be too much go to a quiet place and take a deep breath." She said before ringing the doorbell with us. My cousin Savannah opened the door and invited us in. She gave me a big hug then went to get grandmother.

"She said you guys can come into the formal living room." She told us. I followed behind Sam and her mother as if I was a stranger in my grandmothers home. I saw some movement before Sam and I entered the threshold to the formal living room which made me stop in my tracks and Sam to come to my side.

"What are we looking at?" She asked.

"I'm not sure yet." I told her. She followed me as we went toward it.

Mrs. Murano entered the formal living not knowing the girls for side tracked and were not behind her.

"How are you Mrs. Jackson?" She asked going in for a hug as Katherine was seated in her chair.

"I'm doing well Sage. Come sit and talk to an old women." She said to Mrs. Murano.

"Only for a few minutes I have to be getting to work." She said.

"I know got you working on a fine Thanksgiving day." Mrs. Katherine said.

"I actually don't mind. In the beginning the girls weren't even coming home. But they are to themselves that they don't mind me working." Mrs. Murano answered.

"Yes and those girls. Where are they?" Mrs. Katherine asked as Joe came and sat down in his seat.

"Your guess is a good as mine. Probably running around here somewhere. But they have clothes, I fed them this morning and I will be back tomorrow to pick them up. But in the meantime you guys and a good day. Mr. Joseph enjoy your day also." She said vetoing up to shake his hand and leave out the door.

Sam and I walked to the soda pop den. Where we found all my cousins and brothers and sister gathered around a game of cards. Sam and I put our bags down and she went and approached Jaafar first.

"Can I play winner circle?" She asked. Everyone turned and looked at her.

"Ayeee Sammy Sam!" Jaafar said and an uproar of hey came to her. Then I heard his voice.

"You came back!" Blanket said running towards me with his arms spread then he jump into my arms. I held onto him and rocked with him in my arms.

"I've missed you." He said. I let him down.

"We talked on the phone just a week ago." I said holding his face as his hands were on top of mine.

"But it's not the same." He said.

"Hey give her some space." I heard a deep voice. Prince came looking taller than when I last saw him.

"Oh my god. Princey how are you? Give me a hug. And why you talking like that." I asked him while we had a big hug. My little 12 year old brother wasn't little anymore.

"Hey sis." He said back laughing. After we hugged I saw Paris from the corner of my eyes.

"Parisssss." I sung to her. She blushed and finally made her way over to me and gave me a hug. We pulled away slowly and I saw her wiping her eyes.

"Aww what you crying for?" I asked.

"I just missed you." She said still wiping. I tapped her nose then pulled her back into a hug.

"Aww I miss you too boo-boo." I called her by her old pet name. We were side hugging when Jaafar spoke up.

"So how long are you staying?" He asked. I turned and face him with Paris under my arm.

"We're just staying for the night. Her mom is going to come get us in the morning." I told them.

"So you know about the Thanksgiving dinner tonight right?" Savannah asked.

"Yes grandmother made me very aware of that over the phone." I told them.

"Well alright then we playing uno you want in?" Jaafar asked.

"Do you have to ask?" I asked him. We all laughed and started shuffling cards. Blanket came and flopped into my lap.

"Dude!" I said since it kinda hurt.

"What i missed you!" He said hugging me as I fixed my cards.
