When I got to my grandparents house all the adults sat around the formal living room reminiscing while us kids were outside by the pool. A few of my cousins were in the pool and some of us had our feet in.
"So Mya are you enjoying your birthday so far?" My cousin Genevienve asked me.
"I like it so far my mom took me to get my hair down and then we went to get our nails done, so it's been good." I told her.
"Are you going back to stay with your mom?" Jaafar asked me.
"I don't think so, I'm going to stay in town with my dad and them." I told them.
"When do you ever go to your mom's house? You always with uncle Mike." Jaafar said. I'm closest to him since we are the closest in age.
"Some holidays, when she is in town not doing anything." I told him.
"Cool. Hey ask uncle Mike if you can stay and grandma and grandpa house tonight. Me and Jermajesty are staying. I'm sure he will let you guys stay." He said.
"I will ask, I mean it is my birthday why shouldn't I get to stay." I told him.
"Right." He said.
"Everybody come in the house." My auntie Janet called out. So me and Jafaar and all my other family members that were outside went toward the house. Me and Jafaar were last to walk in since we were talking.
"Hey KK." My auntie Janet said. She has always called me KK. When I'm not with my dad, mom, or godmom I'm with my auntie Janet. She is cool we and her can talk about anything.
"Hey auntie." I hugged her.
"Hey Jafaaaarrrr." She stretched out his name. She knew it made him feel like he was a baby thats why she did it. We both laughed.
"Mya come here." My dad called. My mom and sister were still here.
I went over to my dad then my uncle Marlon came out with a cake and everyone started to sing.

"Make a wish sister." So I did then I blew out the candles. Everyone clapped then we started partying getting into our circles. My mom came and got me before she left.
