I made a promise out of them
Wrote in the margins of each letter
Jotted down a contract between the lines and over them
With the ink of my soul I signed on the dotted line

Even if I type out a new fondness for someone else
Even if we are no longer in each other's pull of gravity
It means that I will still care about you
No matter what you do
Because I said "I love You"
And that's not something I take lightly
