40 | baby shower

Baby showers were the days where family and friends come and celebrate the new edition you are bringing into this world.

Y/N looked in the mirror as she was rubbing her stomach. She was standing in a hallway as her friends were setting up everything. The young woman still couldn't believe that she was becoming a mom.

" Sweetie pie your guest are here ", he mom came around the corner.

Y/N walks to the back to see family and friends conversing with one another. She gave a few people hugs and kisses and snapped a few picture. At first she didn't want to take any cause she felt like her outfit was too basic.



Walking away from the crowd, she takes a seat with her aunties at a table. Her and her boyfriend had a designated spot at the front, but she didn't want to be alone yet. Five minutes into the baby shower, her boyfriend, Keith, shows up with his group of friends.

" He wasn't lying about making a grand entrance ", she thought making herself smile.

Keith walked over to his baby momma with a big grin on his face.





" Hey baby momma."

" Hey baby daddy."

He kisses her lips multiple times before taking a seat next to her.

" How is the little munchkin ", he started rubbing on her belly.

" Or munchkins, but he/she is fine."

Keith and Y/N didn't know the gender and didn't know if they were having a baby or babies. Their mothers thought if would be fun if they did a big reveal for them.

" Since Keith is here now you guys will be sitting at that big table with big Keith, Y/N's parents, and I ", Keith's mom informed the two.

" Ok."

Keith got up first so he could help his girlfriend up. She placed her hand in his as she wobbled to the bigger table. Keith pulls her chair out waiting for her to sit down then pushes it in carefully.

" My son a gentleman...he gets that from his pops", big Keith said with a cocky tone.

Keith's siblings rush up to the table attacking Y/N with hugs.

" Dang y'all be careful with my woman and child ", Keith backed then up.

" She is our sister in law we just showing love."

" Yeah what she said."

" Kevin, Kaylan we not even married yet."

" Yet?"

Y/N looked back and gave Keith a confused look.

" Y/N can I rub your belly?"

" Of course Sky."

Keith was so thankful that his little sister changed the subject.

" Ok food is ready y'all ", Y/N and Keith's grandmas yelled.

All the boys ran because you can't pass on the two's grandmas cooking. Keith and Y/N decided to keep it simple and have BBQ. The party felt like a cookout instead of a baby shower.

" Baby you want me to get your plate?"

" Yes please."

Keith got out giving her a kiss.

A dew minutes later Keith came back with four plates.

" I got a little bit of every thing if that's ok."

" Its fine thanks babe."

Y/N instantly started grubbing on the ribs, mac and cheese, potato salad, jalapeno corn, etc. Keith reached for a rib, but Y/N smacked his hand away.

" Baby stop playing and let me get one."

" No nigga get your own."

" I got a plate full so we can both share."

Y/N titled her head to the side giving him a blank stare. Keith couldn't take her seriously because she had sauce all of her mouth. Y/N push the plate between them finally giving in. She kissed his cheek laughing.

" Real funny Y/N haha."

Now it was time for the gender reveal. The couple was waiting patiently at the front for their mothers to give them instructions. Both of the grandmother's to be walked out with a lighter and a smoke bomb.

" Ok so Keith and Y/N are going to light up this smoke bomb, if the color is pink it's a girl, if it's blue a boy."

Keith set the bomb on the ground and lights it up. A few seconds later pink smoke started to come out. Everyone erupt into screaming and clapping.

" Hell naw I need to see that ultra sound my damn self."

Y/N knew Keith was hoping for a boy. Then their moms came out again with another one.

" Twins?"

" Yes."

This time Y/N lights this one and steps back. Blue smoke emerges making Keith go buck wild.

" LETS GO!"

He hoops and hollars acting a fool with his group of friends.

Y/N was laying down in bed as Keith was rubbing her feet.

" I had fun today ", he spoke up.

" I did too baby. Now about what happened earlier..."

Keith pulls out a big engagement ring from his pocket.

" I know this isn't romantic, but I don't need to do all of that to prove my love to you. Y/N I knew you were going to be my wife when I bumped into you at the mall three years ago. I love you with all of my heart and will do anything for you, I will die for you. You are just perfect and about to be the mother of my twins. Y/N Y/M Y/L will you be Mrs.Powers?"

" No."

Keith's whole mood changed.

" Baby I'm just fucking with you of course I'll marry you!"

" You play to damn much."

Keith gives her multiple kisses lowering down to her stomach. He gives it a long sweet kiss laying right beside it.

" Mommy and daddy are getting married."
