Tiley sat at the dining room table in silence as she starred at her birthday cake. She sighs as eats her food from her plate all alone.

Lately her and her boyfriend have been arguing due to him coming home late at night. They haven't been talking which Tiley was fine with, but not today. Today is Tiley's birthday and Keith has not yet told her happy birthday. The front door opens and she quickly wipes her tears away. Keith walks into the kitchen setting down his briefcase. He loosen his tie while his eyes were on Tiley.

" Work."

" Yeah right ", she laughs.

" You thinking I'm lying? Tiley why would I need to lie, you know I'm trying to get that promotion."

" So that means you have to come home close to midnight every night!?"

" Yeah if I want to get more one my paycheck and stop acting like I'm the only one who's doing wrong in this relationship."

" What are you talking about Tyree?"

" You saying I'm coming home late all the time, but you never make time for me!"

A tear slips out of her eye, but she quickly wipes it away.

" How can I make time for you, when you don't make time for me. You always come home late and when you are home you're either sleeping or working."

Her eyes turn into waterfalls and Keith was sad that he made his girlfriend so upset not knowing the real reason. He walks over to her embracing her in his arms. She cried so hard leaving tear stains on his work shirt.

" Baby I'm so sorry I'm not making time for you."

She pulls away grabbing a tissue.

" I accept the apology, but that's not the real reason why I'm mad."
