Sage's view
"Sage isn't that the dude that you bumped into earlier today, and was giving you attitude for it" Nathan whispered.
"Yeah I think so, I remember that voice" I whispered back.
"OMG, he is so cute and mysterious" A girl whispered.
"I call dibs on him" Another girl whispers.
"Girls, Girls, Girls we all know that he's mine. Besides none of you stand a chance." Becky gloated.
Yep, we all have them the "mean girl". But in our case we've got Becky Mckenna White. The most generic white girl you'll ever meet. She's popular, mean, everyone loves her, she goes to Starbucks like it's her home, she uses like and totally like every other word which frankly gets really annoying, and always and I mean always ones up people, Why? Don't forget with every predator it needs their prey. Unfortunately for me I'm the prey.
"Miss Hall would you mind joining the class" said Mr. Diwise.
"Sage, Sage ,Sage"whispered Nathan.
"HUH!!! I wasn't doing anything" I said startled. The entire class started to laugh. Except for Isaiah.
"Miss. Hall if you'd mind paying attention in the class, instead of glaring at Miss. White over there. That would be very much appreciated"Mr Diwise said seethed because I interrupted the class.
"Great it's the first day of school, and I already have a teacher who doesn't like me" I said in my head.
I apologized and Mr.D continued to go over the rules for this school year, including handing out forms. I couldn't help but wondered why Isaiah didn't laugh. I'm funny right? I did just make a whole entire Gr.12 class laugh(Tough crowd). I found myself somehow intrigued at the mere sight of him, I wanted to know more. OMG, let my life not become a cliche movie. Girl meets boy, girl has crush on boy, boy feels the same way, boy does something stupid, girl forgives boy, and they fall in love. Happily Ever After.
Please no.
Isaiah's view
I don't know why everyone was laughing, but I bet it was something immature and childish. Great, instead of spending my last year in school with smart intellects, I'm stuck with a bunch of embryonic people who still think"pull my finger" is funny. That's when Mr. D said something to this girl. I think her name was Sage ...... Sage Hall. Wait! Isn't that girl who bumped into me this morning. Along with needing glasses she honestly needs some common sense too. Why would you ever disturb a class. The teacher will most definitely hate you for it, and the last thing that girl needs is a teacher hating her. But it's none of my business anyway.
Mr.Diwise continued talking about the rules for this school year, and handed out forms and papers for our parents to sign. It's was basically like that for every class. If we still had more time in class we would've done icebreakers. Which I immensely disliked, seeing how I hate socializing. Being on my own makes me feel safe and secure. Plus I don't have to stress myself by conversing with people. It's normal for someone like me to act this way, and I'm okay with it. Since I'm quiet, not many people know about my Autism. The only people who do know are some staff that work at the school, some relatives, and my parents of course. Furthermore there's no reason to tell everyone. So I keep it to myself.
End of the day
They made each class 10 minutes shorter than normal because of it being the first day of school. So I got home earlier then my parents. My mom is the CEO of Gogle, I know never heard that before. Despite what you think her job is actually pretty cool. Plus we get a lot of brisk merch. My dad is an travel agent. He's lucky he gets to explore different cultures, learn different languages, and try foods from all around the world. Not to be bias but I love spicy foods it's the best, especially Indian food. Although his job is pretty darn dandy a downside is that he works through the weekdays and comes back home on the weekends. So I don't get to see him that much which is okay. Since I've gotten use to it but I still miss him. On the other hand my mom works on Mon, Weds, and Sat and comes back every day.
I unlocked the house door and closed it behind me. I then led myself straight to the kitchen for a snack. I opened the pantry a grabbed some Doritos and made my way to the living room. I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV to my favorite channel The Nature Channel. I know most teens would watch reality, fantasy, sports or action TV shows. But I really enjoyed watching and learning about nature. Something about it just fascinates and really entertains me. In the middle of the program I hear my phone start to ring. It was my mom calling she probably was just calling to checking up on me. Have you ever called your parents and they didn't pick up and it's no big deal. But when they call you and you don't pick up they get angry at you. That's my mom but 10x angrier. She always worries about me because of my ASD but there's nothing to worry about. I'm 17 I can handle myself.
(Isaiah and Karen's phone conversation)
"Hey bud, how are you?"
"Fine mom, you?"
"I'm fine, I'm at Costco getting some groceries do you need anything."
"Nope, but we're almost out of eggs and milk"
"Almost forgot that"
"You always forget that and I always have to remind you"
"That's why I love you, when I get home I have some exciting news for you, you're going to love it "
"Okay, but it better not by something lame"
"Lame? Like what?"
"Lame like, exciting news the stocks went up by 1%"
"Okay, but this time it's actually exciting "
"Okay if you say so"
"Bye bud see ya soon"
"Bye mom"
35 minutes later
I heard the garage squeak open and my mom's car roll in. I strolled over to the garage door to go and help my mom with the groceries. I came down the stairs to help my mom. After a couple of mins we were done. She laid down on the couch exhausted from shopping.
"Well" I said.
