We Meet Again

"Where are we going, what 'Thing'?" The female looked at her father intently for a reply.

"It's about that demon." The male extended his wings and took off, dragging the unsuspecting female before she extended her wings as well.

"A little warning next time!?" She hissed under her breath, just loud enough for him to hear. "And his name is Ryuzaki."

"You really shouldn't say it's name. Names give power." The male cast a glance at his daughter before gliding left. The female muttered something under her breath.

(Time Skip)

Ryuzaki's pov:

The male flew as high as the cage aloud. He hissed in irritation at the size of the small cage. Wishing he could fly freely again. 'Where is my father? He should have been here by now! I want to get this over with!' The male wondered what punishment his father would give him this time. Last time the male had gotten into trouble was when he had challenged one of his fathers 'Friends' to an arm wrestle... Ryuzaki lost. His father, enraged by his weakness, kicked him out to the pits of hell for 3 years to strengthen him up. Ryuzaki wasn't allowed back till he could beat his fathers 'friend'. The memory made a shiver go up the males spine.

As the male landed he heard two sets of footsteps heading his way. One was the familiar loud and brisk stride of Ozaki. The other one however was lighter and giddy, most likely an anxious female. The male felt a feeling in his chest he was not use to. Irritated he brushed it off.

(Y/n) pov:

The female followed closely behind her father, anxiously debating what state her friend might be in. Slowly a bird like cage started coming into view.

"A bird cage?" (Y/N) inquired, wondering why they even HAD a bird cage that sized.

"Ya, he's in there." Ozaki stated bluntly.

"But why a BIRD CAGE!? That makes NO sense!" She further argued.

"It was an attempt to break that stupid pride of his, but it seems to have done the opposite. I'll wait out here ok? Just let me talk to him first." Ozaki informed, not waiting for a reply as he walked into the strange cell.

Ozaki's pov:

"Oh howdy there partner! Is (Y/N) out there?" Ozaki felt his fist clench at the demons intuition.

"So it's a deal then?" The demon inquired, hold out his hand for a shake.

"It's a deal, but I'm not falling for that." Ozaki turned away from the demon and began walking back to the bared door. "Oh, and if you do anything 'funny' it's deal off and you'll wish you where dead." Ozaki spat as he left the aria.

Ryuzaki's pov:

"You can go in now." Ozaki informed the female as he walked past her. Taking a deep breath the female entered. The first thing she noticed was the size of the small bird cage. Then she saw Ryuzaki who was waiting for her to start the conversation.

"This is so small..." guilt rang in the females voice.

"Jeez, stop that would you? Not everything's on you." The male looked at her seriously.

"It's not fair! Why do you get punished for doing something nice!?" The female vented.

"Fear, that's why. Look I didn't strike a deal with your old man to talk about this. But before I continue I have to know something." The female made eye contact with the male, showing him he had her complete attention.

"What do you know about your father?" The female looked at him, dumbfounded.

"What do you mean?" The male castes a glance to his right in thought.

"I mean, does he seem... off? Like was there a time when he acted differently then he does now?" The male looked back at the female expectantly, but was taken back when he saw the perplexed stare meet his gaze.

"Well, I fucked up." The male hissed. The female jumped in surprise at the vulgar language.

"You MESSED up not that word! And why do you say that?" The male chuckled then let out a sigh.

"I based this deal on a whim." The female hummed in thought.

"Well, to answer your question there was a time when he seemed... happier. He was around more too, but I was very young and it's hard to remember what he was like. My mom told me most of this, but the most I remember is a kind smile and a contagious laugh. Everything changed after he became part of the council though." The female blissfully spoke.

"That's what I thought. Do me a favor, promise me you will?" The male closed the gap between him and the female, making their noses almost touch. In surprise the female recoiled from the males sudden appearance.

"Matters the favor." She replied unsurely.

"Don't trust Ozaki."
