"Mr. Mcloughlin, did you hear me?" Ms. Martin asked for the third time to Sean. Sean looked up from his phone, and scoffed, "No, of course I didn't." Sean rolled his eyes. 'I hated how you he acted like this in class, he was completely different when he was with me at home. So loving and caring, but here he was a cold heart asshole.'

The class 'ooo'ed, Ms. Martin sighed angrily, "Sean, go to the office." He rolled his eyes, put a fake smile, "Gladly." He stood up, walked up to me and kissed my cheek, "Sean. Go now." Ms. Martin scoffed, her patience wearing thin. Sean glared at her, "okay!! I'm leaving! Jesus Christ!" Sean exclaimed, leaving the classroom.
'Why does he act like this?'

- lunch -

"Hey babe." Sean sat next to me, arm wrapped around my waist as I ate.

"Hi babe" I said quietly. I continued eating. Sean whimpered, I glanced over to see him pouting. "What's wrong? Was it something I did?" Sean whimpered.

"...Why do you always act like this asshole at school, but as soon as we leave you're a completely different person?" I waited for his answer. Sean's eyes got glossy. He stood up and left the cafeteria. I sat there, shocked. I stood up, now chasing after him.

I ran after him, with my short legs I was starting to lose him. I panted, pushing myself to go faster. He made a sharp turn to the stairs that led up to the roof.

He ran up the stairs skipping every two steps. Jesus Christ.

He bursted through the door. The door was closing, I shoved it open when I reached it, now out of breath, frantically looking around for him.

Now seeing Sean, leaning against the wall in a ball, crying. I calmed my breathing. Walking slowly over to Sean, kneeling down.

"Jack, baby? What's wrong?" I lightly grabbed his wrists to pull them away from his face. He had streams of tears going down his face. My heart broke at the sight.

He instantly hugged me, crying into my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around him, tightly. I kissed his shoulder, "shhhhh, it's okay. It's okay." I slowly rocked us back side to side, trying to calm him. His crying stopped, now turning into hiccups.

"I'm sorry I brought it up, I didn't know it would upset this badly..." I whispered.

"It's...okay..." His grip loosened and pushed back. "...the reason I'm always like this is because... I don't wanna show anybody I'm weak. I'm tired of everybody stepping all over me like a door mat! So I put up this act, to set up walls from everybody except...you." I sat there, now pulling him into a hug.

"I'm sorry..." I kissed his forehead.

"Don't be." Sean gave me a small smile. I smiled, kissing his nose. He chuckled, "I love you, Sean." He looked at me, wide-eyed.
"W-what?" He stared at me like I spilt water on him.
"I said. I love you, Sean. And I mean it." His smile grew hugely, "I-I love you too, Y/n."

Our first 'I love you's!
