Tai walked back down to the couch where he expected Yang to be but instead he found an astonishing sight. Yang had fallen asleep on the couch in his absence. Zwei, Tai's dog that everyone adored, suddenly jumped from the kitchen and began barking at the door."Oh. Raidens here." Tai said as he moved to open the door. He twisted the knob but quickly moved when the door suddenly swung open due to Raiden's body slamming onto the ground.
"What the-!?" Tai exclaimed before he saw Raiden's injuries. Six claw wounds on his back that looked to be shallow, a bite wound on his left arm, and his right leg completely covered in claw marks. He quickly bent down the moment after Raiden had fallen and picked him up.
"Yang! Wake up and move!" Tai shouted, to which the blonde quickly jumped off the couch and assisted her father.
Tai and Yang quickly hoisted Raiden up onto the couch before Tai waved his daughter off.
"Quick, go and call Dr.Gilson. Tell her it's an emergency and to come quickly. I'll take care of him for now."
---
Later, Tai and Yang sat in chairs next to a bandaged Raiden who slept peacefully on the couch. Blood stains dotted the couch, but Raiden would be fine. Dr.Gilson, a young female doctor with blonde hair, circular glasses, and green eyes threw her bloodied gloves into a garbage in the kitchen. With no wall separating the two kitchen and the living room, Dr.Gilson's sigh of relief could be heard as the gloves hit the bottom of the trash can.
"When is he going to wake up?" Tai asked worriedly. White cloth was wrapped around Raiden's chest and both of his legs, hugging his muscular figure tightly.
"I'm not sure. The sleeping medicine I gave him will keep him knocked out for another hour, but once it wares off there's no guarantee he will wake up soon after. If he doesn't wake up within three hours, call me back over. You have my number." Dr.Gilson said. She made her way to the door before Tai placed a hand on her shoulder.
'Hold up, Mary." Tai said. She turned around, unsure of his actions. Tai never placed a hand on her.
"I'll accompany you out." Tai said as he nodded his head twice in the direction behind him. She glanced over his shoulder and saw Yang worriedly checking his temperature with her left hand.
"Sure." Dr.Mary Gilson replied.
---
"Are you sure it's an okay idea to leave them alone like that?" Mary asked.
"She needs some alone time. Maybe I do too..." Tai trailed off. Mary's green eyes looked at him.
"What do you mean?" The blonde doctor asked. Her lab coat still had Raiden's blood drenched over it.
"Raiden was in Atlas finding out information for me. I called him back because I thought he could help out Yang. I didn't think that... He'd be attacked by a pack of beowolves." Tai finished.
"So you're claiming it's your fault? Tai, as long as I've known you, you always take the blame. You couldn't have foreseen this turn of events." Mary said in a stern tone. Tai glanced at her.
"Besides, that child will be fine. Raiden was his name, correct?" Mary asked. Tai nodded his head in response.
"How do you know he'll be fine?" He returned.
"What was his semblance? Was it a self-regenerating semblance?" Mary asked again.
"No, his semblance isn't even close to-" Tai suddenly stopped in his tracks, his eyes widening at his realization.
"Tai?" Mary asked quietly. Tai suddenly broke out in a sprint back towards his home.
He quickly slammed the door open and scanned the room. His eyes stopped when he spotted the Raiden sitting up, unwrapping the cloth from his body. Yang was holding the bloody gauze in her hand, unsure if she should be helping him remove his bandages.
"Raiden?" Tai asked with suspicion in his voice.
"Fear not, Tai Yang Xiao Long. I have taken over so as to let Raiden rest." A female voice replied. It was as if he was possessed, for when his lips moved, a female voice would reply.
"And just exactly who are you?" Tai asked again with suspicion in his voice.
"You will learn in time." Raiden's body said as the last of the cloth was removed, revealing a perfectly healed body.
"His body was not like that before." Dr.Gilson exclaimed.
"Of course not. I healed him. While I was alive, my semblance allowed me to heal myself. Naturally, while I am in control of his body, I can use my semblance and heal him as well." Raiden's body replied. Dr.Gilson turned to Tai.
"Just exactly what is Raiden's semblance?" She asked.
"He can talk to souls of people who have passed. However, sometimes, those souls take control of his body for a short time. They are eventually forced out, but this only happens after he's been in an intense fight and was wounded horribly." Tai replied.
"You still haven't told us who you are." Yang pointed out. Raiden's body smiled.
"I am Erin Kale, a Faunus member of the White Fang up until a few years ago." Tai angrily walked to Raiden's body.
"But there's only one problem with your statement: Raiden can only speak to the souls of people who refuse to leave this world because of a particular reason. What's your reason for staying?" Tai asked.
"There is someone I need to speak with, as soon as possible. Your daughter knows him well. After all, a traumatized person does not forget the face of the person who caused the trauma."
----
"Dad." Yang asked, knocking on his door. She heard his light snoring through the door and sighed. Dr.Gilson had almost an hour ago, reassuring Yang and Tai that Raiden would wake up within two hours. Someone suddenly grabbed Yang's shoulder.
"Yang." Raiden's body said. This time, instead of Erin Kale's voice, Raiden's voice had returned.
"Rai, you're awak-" Yang started before Raiden suddenly leaned in and kissed her. The kiss lasted for a few seconds, Yang eventually melting into it. Raiden pulled away before wiping his lips and laughing at her. This time, however, Erin Kale's voice was the one laughing.
"What the-" Yang breathed as Raiden's body broke down laughing, clutching it's gut and gasping for air in between it's laughs.
"Oh- Oh my god! You must really like him!" Erin shouted playfully. The one-armed blonde could suddenly feel the heat intensify in her face.
"What!?" She exclaimed.
"When we kissed, you didn't pull away or push away. Either you two have kissed before, or you like him and haven't told him." Erin said before finishing her laughing fit and turning to her.
"You know he's in love with you, right?"
"What!?" Yang suddenly looked at her with a surprised look on her face.
"Of course. I can read all of his emotions. When we get close..." Erin moved Raiden's body closer to Yang by taking a few steps forward.
"His heart starts pounding."
