My arms were tightly wrapped around Aracel as I run through the woods. Her tiny body well hidden under the covers as she clung to me.

The loud growls belonging to his men filled the air. Their footsteps sounding not too far from me before it suddenly stopped.

Not looking back, I continued running faster than ever while dodging trees. Leaves and branches were hitting my face but it didn't slow me down.

The border was now in view as hope flooded through me. Just a little bit more and I would be free from him, but that thought quickly left my mind.

A terrifying growl could be heard throughout the entire woods as I came to a halt.

Five wolves appeared out of nowhere and stood in front of me, blocking my path, as I was quickly being surrounded. The wolf in the middle was the largest of them all.

I only stared at him in in shock as it slowly approached me. It wasn't because of its size or the saliva dripping from its mouth, but its eyes.

At first, they were bright gold like any normal wolf, but it had flashed silver for less than a minute before turning gold again.

Those were the same silver eyes that belonged to the only person I knew. They belonged to Alpha Jovano.

My eyes shot open to see that I was in Ashanti and I's bedroom instead of beneath the tree. Ashanti was not in the room but I could hear soft giggling sounds coming from Aracel's room.

A sigh escaped my lips as I slowly made my way out of the bed. My body feeling a bit weak as I went into Aracel's room to see my little girl playing with Ashanti.

I didn't know if my eyes were playing tricks on me, but it seemed as if she had gotten just a little bit taller. A part of me was a bit sad to see how rapidly she is growing, but it quickly vanished when she smiled at me.

She jumped out of Ashanti's arms and came running directly at me. Her arms wrapping around me tightly as she smiled up at me.

"My little baby is growing up so fast," I said in a soft voice as I hugged her back.

"Can you go play in the living room Nevia? I have to talk with your father." She nodded her head before happily skipping out of the room. The sound of her soft footsteps fading away into the hall.

Sighing, I went to the chair in the room and took a seat as I thought it over. Maybe it was only a dream with no true meaning, but when have any of my other dreams be about something like this.

"What do you have to talk about?" Ashanti asked, as he took a seat near me. Worry in his eyes as he turned me to face him, but I kept my gaze on the wooden floor.

"I had a dream which included Jovano. Aracel and I was running from his men in the woods but he had cornered us," I said as I played with my fingers. I didn't want to make myself worried over a little dream, but it could mean something.

He seemed to be thinking for a while before he said something. "Did you recognize anything in this dream or did something standout to you?"

After thinking about it for a while, a gasp escaped from me as I realized something. Now there was definitely something for me to be worried about as I nodded my head.

"The woods. It looks exactly like the one between Jovano's pack and the border and for some reason, his eyes switched between gold and silver." I was still confused as to how his eyes had randomly changed colours.

"Well it looks like this little Alpha has a secret of his own which he has yet revealed, but I have a few guesses of my own," he said, but his eyes had a far away look in them.

Now this had me thinking about all the times I had Jovano hoping to remember if he seemed off, but that just made a tiny part of me hurt. Even if he did hurt me and I wasn't meant to be with him, he did help me get better from my situation and I can't deny that I had feelings for him.

A sigh left my lips as I placed my head in my hands. Still, I was at war with myself with all that was going on and I just couldn't get myself in one piece.

Now that I had Aracel, I couldn't just abandon her and have her grow up without a mother. It wouldn't be the same as how I grew up, but it could still affect her the same and I wouldn't want that for anyone.

I felt Ashanti's warm hands wrap around me as he pulled me into him. His hands tightening as he sniffed in my scent.

"I'm not going to let anyone harm you or my little girl," he said, before he kissed my head. "Now why don't we go spend the rest of the day at the lake and maybe you can even teach Aracel how to swim."

A smile immediately appeared on my face as the thought of swimming danced in my mind. Now I would be able to pass on what my mother taught me to my daughter.
