The loud laughter and chatter coming from outdoors rang through my ears as I made my way inside the hallway. The guards standing besides the door of the Queen's practice room bowed their heads as I walked past them.

Curiosity flooded through me at the different thoughts of what she could be practicing in there. No one knew except her husband, the king and princess Aracel.

Some said she practiced the dark arts while others said she could be practicing new forms of fighting. After all, the queen was an excellent fighter with great techniques, but those were just rumours and one shouldn't believe everything they hear.

Coming to a halt at a dead end, I looked around to see if there was anyone in sight. Seeing as I was alone, I pushed in the bricks in the right order as I took a step back.

In less than a second, a wooden door appeared before me with no handle. Waving my hand over the door, it opened to reveal a dark room with a single glowing candle which appeared to be in the center of the room.

A dark smirk appeared on my face as I entered the room as he door immediately vanished behind me.

Now to begin planning.

I woke up to the delicious smell of pancakes as I heard the sizzling sound. My stomach immediately coming to life as it let put a tiny growl.

In an instant, I was already racing out the door and straight into the kitchen to see the totally unexpected.

Aracel was covered from head to toe in pancake batter while there was only one pancake in the pan. Syrup was all over the floor creating a sticky mess.

"Oh darling, you're awake," Ashanti said in relief as he saw me standing with my mouth wide open.

"Can you please clean up Ara and keep her occupied until I'm done here," he said while gently pushing her towards me, but her hands were directed at the bowl on the counter.

I didn't know what to say, so I nodded before scooping her up in my arms. She softly giggled as she began putting the batter in my hair.

Making my way to the bathroom, I opened the faucet in the tub before removing her dirty clothes. Thankfully, she was willing to co operate with me today, so it didn't take longer like usual.

When she was squeaky clean, I dried her up before quickly dressing her in a plain dark blue dress. As soon as I was done, she was out the door in a flash and it wasn't long before Ashanti was shouting.

Sighing, I went into my bathroom and cleaned up, making sure to remove all the pancake batter out of my hair. After staying under the cool running water for a few extra minutes, I finally got out.

After I was all dressed up and I was done successfully wrapping a towel around my wet hair, I made my way into the kitchen to see a platter filled with mouth watering pancakes on the counter.

Just by looking at it, I could already imagine how delicious they would taste. Aracel was jumping up and down as I hurriedly grabbed a plate and began stacking pancakes onto it, before also preparing a plate for her as well.

Placing them on the table, she rushed over to her seat before digging into them as I took a seat. I wondered where Ashanti could have just vanished to, but I wasn't about to let those pancakes go cold on me.

Just as I was done drizzling the maple syrup, Ashanti appeared out of nowhere nearly causing me to fall out of my chair, while Ara clapped her hands. Syrup was smeared all over her cheeks as she she grinned at the two of us.

I couldn't help the smile that came on my face as he took a seat opposite me and placed his plate near me. His hazel eyes twinkling like little stars as I admired my little family.

Never had I ever imagined myself actually having a loving family of my own and yet here they were. Right in front of me was what I didn't know I would ever have, so maybe I actually do have something to thank the Goddess for.

Although, that doesn't mean she isn't any less of a cold, hardhearted being.

"So you was just going to eat without me?"Ashanti questioned, a playful look in his eye as he slowly began eating.

"Well," I began, taking a huge bite. "I didn't know if you changed your mind about eating breakfast but they were just calling out to me and they were just so good looking on that counter," I said.

He didn't say anything before he just began laughing. I didn't know why but it wasn't long before I somehow joined in and so did Aracel.

We were one laughing mess of a weird family, but everything just seemed so perfect. Everyone needs some kind of weird in their life and I guess I have found mine.

Now it's time to just sit back and watch where time will bring us.

Hey Guys! So it has been quite some time since I have updated and I apologize for the long wait. There were some complications because of the bad weather, which I am still experiencing, but it is getting better.

Anyways, hope you all have been enjoying this story and like I said, it has come to an end. I felt like I was dragging the story on, so this might not be the best endings and possibly one of the worsts.
