I could feel the cold wind wrapping around my body, blowing my hair all in my face. The cool sensation on my skin calming me down as I strolled through the remains of what used to be the most powerful werewolf pack.

What little remained of the burnt up houses and fallen trees. Ashes blown all about mixed in with the scattered body parts of both wolf and human. Dried up blood puddles surrounding them.

It saddened me to see that this was how it all ended, but there was nothing I could have done. Men, women and children all killed for something as foolish as this.

My mind was rid of all previous thoughts as I took in my surroundings. The destruction which was caused by me because I played the key role in all of this. Maybe I really should have ended my life when I had the chance.

It's to late now to make a difference.

Something was off about the atmosphere because I felt that there was another presence here besides me. Everyone else was dead, so that being must be very skilled in the art of hiding one's self.

I sniffed the air and noticed that although the scent was faint, it was very familiar. No one came to mind until they spoke.

Guess this is the how I am going to die after all.

I woke up to Aracel jumping on my bed excitedly while calling me. I was wondering why she was so excited, but once I heard who Ashanti was talking to it all made sense to me.

Today was the day that my grandmother had come to visit and Aracel couldn't wait to meet her. I can't understand how I had managed to forget that she was coming over today, when Aracel was there to remind me everyday.

"Calm down Ara and stop jumping on the bed before you fall down and hurt yourself," I warned, as I got up. My hair was a bit messy, so I just run my fingers through it while shaking my head in order to wake myself up.

I wasn't even fully awake yet but Aracel had grabbed my hand and was now dragging me to the living room. A huge smile on her face as she pulled me with her to go meet my grandmother.

When we got to the living room, my grandmother and Ashanti was just talking about who knows what while snacking on some delicious looking gigantic chocolate cookies. The scent filling my nose as my mouth watered at how good they looked on the platter.

"Looks like you're finally awake," Ashanti smiled before biting into his cookie. The crunchy sound and the little crumbs also added to how I imagined they would taste.

"Grandma," I smiled as she got up and pulled me in for a warm hug before Aracel joined us. Her tiny hands barely wrapping around my entire body but that didn't stop her.

"I missed you," I said as she patted my back. "I was worried when they said that you had just vanished like thin air."

She let out a little chuckle as she pulled away from the hug and Ara clung to my feet. Her hands tightly wrapped around my legs as she stared up at my grandmother, her eyes never leaving her as she hid behind me.

"I had plans on meeting up with you but Jovano had his men everywhere searching for you and I had some other Alpha business to attend to. Sorry for worrying you," she said as she looked at Aracel.

"Well anyways," I smiled as I gently pushed Ara forward. "This is my daughter Aracel Nevia, but she doesn't talke that much."

"What a little cutie you got there," she cooed. "Hi Nevia, I'm your great grandma and guess what. We both are named Aracel." When she said that, Aracel's eyes began shining a bit brighter as she began smiling.

Her hands reaching out at my grandmother as she pulled her onto her hip. The two of them already bonding and it all started with having the same name.

"So, why don't we go for a little family outing," Ashanti suggested, as he appeared with a basket and bag in his hand. A little smirk on his face as he watched my surprised eyes as my grandmother and Ara nodded their heads.

"Fine," I sighed, as I slowly made my way back to my room and to the bathroom to get ready for whatever he has planned.
