Princess Nubia's extended claws went directly through Darlius before she flung his body harshly onto the ground. She jumped on his body and began clawing at his flesh.

The princess was like a wild animal hungry for blood, but that was exactly what she was now. Her inner wolf coming closer to the surface of her mind.

"Nubia, stop! He's already dead!" The King yelled. He could see that he was slowly losing his baby girl to the beast in her.

Princess Aracel on the other hand stood frozen in place. She just witnessed the death of the man she loved by her own sister right after the death of her own mother.

Her heart was thumping inside of her ribcage. She didn't know what to do as she saw her world come crashing down.

Prince Omirion rushed over to his sister and wrapped his hands around her bloody body. She began to calm down as she no longer shredded Darlius's body.

The scaly folk had now lost both their queen and prince and was now without a leader. Their mission had failed and a large number of people on their side had died or was suffering from injuries.

Just then, blood began to pour from the sky. The sun and the moon joined as one once again and angry winds blew at them from every direction.

Princess Nubia shook her brother's hands off of her and stood up. Her arms were stretched towards the sky as she chanted words so quietly and quickly that not even the werewolves could make out what she was saying.

"Leave now and return to the waters from which you were born in. If you choose not to, the Goddess shall spare you not and make the waters run blood."

The voice which spoke was not that of the princess. It was powerful and enchanting and had everyone's attention.

"Your bodies shall be drained and your flesh will rot. Your generation will end here and your souls will not be at peace. This is the last warning, do as you please."

The scaly people looked between one another before letting out a screeching sound in unison. Then they all retreated back into the woods helping one another and dragging the bodies of their dead along with them.

"All of you may return back to your families and comfort them. There is nothing to fear anymore and the Goddess has spoken."

Upon saying those last words, the princess's eyes rolled back and she fainted. Then everything instantly got back to normal as the blood slowly vanished.

Princess Aracel looked at her sister's unconscious body and then run into the castle with tears running down her cheeks. She needed time to wrap her head around everything which happened so quickly.

The King gently lifted his daughter onto his shoulder and carried her into the castle. He knew that this day would have come and he also knew that his wife wouldn't have made it, but seeing it happen just broke him.

When he entered Nubia's room, he gently placed her on the bed and went into his own room.

He no longer felt his mate's presence with him. All trace of her gone, even her scent had disappeared from their room as if she never even existed.

Falling to his knees, he smashed his fist onto the carpet. The sound of his bone breaking was the only sound that could be heard, but that pain was nothing compared to the one in his heart.

He was now empty and alone. In need of her but with no path to get to her. He was happy that his children was alive but he no longer felt the need to breathe a new day.

The children were all grown up now and after surviving this, could survive anything.

He had now fulfilled the duties which were bestowed onto him by the Moon Goddess and she had already claimed Nubia as the chosen one. His work here was done and he desperately wanted to go join his other half.

His head was now pounding as he began howling in pain. It was all too much and he wanted it to end soon.

Closing his eyes and without a second thought, he shoved his claws into his chest and into his heart.
