(This really doesn't have much to do with CHB or the storyline, I just felt like writing this. The idea is you are the 10th child in a family with only daughters, Nico the son of the rich man Hades and is meeting your sisters in hopes that he decides to marry one. You are the least favorite and are shut up in your room, he finds you. Yay, love prevails. Cinderella much? Also, this around the time when carriages were still a thing)

"Now, (Y/N), if you leave this room until you are told you can you will be punished severely. You will not ruin your sisters' chance of marrying Nico Di Angelo," my mother lectured me.

"Ya, ya, whatever. I don't even know this Di Angelo dude, why would I want to ruin my sisters, chances? So I could marry him?" I rolled my eyes

"Precisely," my mother turned up her nose and slammed my door. I huffed and walked over to my window seat. I leaned my head against the wall as I watched a fancy looking black carriage roll through the gates.

Despite what I said before about not caring about Nico, I was interested to see what he looked like. After all, he is literally talked about by every girl between the ages of 11 and 19. I watched as a surprisingly young looking boy stepped out of the carriage. He looked about my age, 15,16? He had semi-long raven hair and pale olive skin. He wore a black evening suit with what looked like a silver pocket watch chain hanging out of one jacket pocket. His father stepped out of the carriage as well, but I was still intently watching Nico.

While they were still outside Nico somehow saw me in the window. I waved cheekily before getting out of the window seat and getting out of view of the window. I peeked out the window to see him still looking, confused, at my window. I stifled a laugh as I watched him walking into my mansion of a house.

I was 100% bored of my room. It's the smallest in the house, but that's not saying much. I still had 3 bookshelves stuffed full of books, a wardrobe, a king sized bed, and a sitting area with a fireplace. But there's only so much you can do for about 3 hours with no one else. Sure, reading, but I wanted to cause some minor trouble; I was in a dramatic mood.

I threw my hair up into a messy bun that my mother would not approve of and slipped out of my room. I stood outside my door and listened for a minute to judge where my family was. Probably the summer parlor. I ventured down that way to see what they were doing.

I heard the footsteps too late.

I'm probably going to get skinned alive.

I turned around, resigned to my fate of death, when I discovered it was non-other than Nico Di Angelo himself.

"Umm, hello," he politely greeted me.

"Hi," I chirped back. He was taken aback by my informal response.

"Wait," he examined my face, "You were in the window when I arrived, I was wondering where you were."

"Well, no need to wonder anymore," I smiled.

"I assumed you were sick. You aren't, right?"

"Nope, just shunned from the social gathering as to not ruin my sisters' chances of marrying you," I bluntly replied.

Before he could respond I heard another set of footsteps. I grabbed Nico's arm and tugged him back to my room. I shut the door as quietly as possible, grabbed a book from a shelf, and shoved Nico behind the curtain of my window seat. I slid in beside him and held a finger to my lips to silence any question about my impulsive actions.
