-{How the Bat met the Widow Part 2}-
LOCATION: Gotham City Motel
Running wasn't very hard at least not for myself,
Every animal in the known universe has a second nature and mine was running,
I'd spent my whole life running away it didn't matter if it was from the KGB, the law, the Red Room or even the tormented memories of my own mind,
ARGUS would most likely kill me if they found me, and I don't intend to die today.
I had bought a motel room that was based just outside the main city in a rough area it was pretty dull and the 'm' in the motel sign didn't even work and the whole place had a funny smell to it that I would rather not think about,
However it was very untraceable
ARGUS wont look for me, since here when it comes to dropping off the grid I'm the expert.
I paid a week's rent up front with some of my borrowed cash, <I'll pay it back promise>, under the name of one of my aliases Natalie Rushman,
I know, I know it was quite obvious, but that's why no one ever suspected that Rushman and Romanoff where actually the same person.
I have a quick shower although the water was so cold that my skin began to turn a sickening shade of blue,
I grab a quick bite to eat from the Big Belly Burger down the street, I hadn't eaten anything for days and I was beginning to feel it and I had a secret craving for something covered in grease and salt
As I stand at the counter waiting for my food I take the opportunity to observe my surroundings
I couldn't put my finger on it but something about Gotham City was unnerving,
The citizens had a glum feeling about them nobody made eye contact and nobody would return a smile
<They were all scared,>
A very different feeling enveloped the entire city when darkness fell almost like in every shadow there were demons reaching out to grab you and pull you into their darkness
"Mam your food", a gruff voice interrupts my train of thought,
I pick up the greasy brown bag and smile at the young man who looked like he would rather be on his next cigarette break rather than standing here talking to me
"Thank you have a good night", I was clearly not from around here he must be thinking but he as he narrows his green eyes at me but eventually he gives me a small smile
"You too mam" he replies
As soon as I get back to my hotel room I spread my few belongings out on the ragged, old bed
I didn't really own much in the way of 'personal' belongings
I'm not overly sentimental,
I cant afford to be,
I take what I can carry everything else is just a waste of time,
My possessions mostly consisted of my Black cat suit that the scientists in the Red Room had made specially for me when I first completed my training way back
The outfit had titanium fibre's sewn in to the fabric making it a lot tougher to damage in a fight, an in built insulation system to fight off extreme cold or heat, and micro suction cups for hanging upside down and scaling tall buildings,
