An Unforgiving Anniversary Part 4

Tim Drake's POV

Location: Wayne Manor

We must have been at this for a couple of hours now every single fact had gone through my brain causing a numb feeling to begin appearing in my mind ,

Man I wish that I had thought of a better lie than this,

I hate school when I'm at school now I'm hating school when I'm at home, I bet that whatever Dick and Natasha were doing was a whole lot more exciting than this

"Tim? Tim! Are you paying attention?" Bruce yells at me, oh damn it I drifted off in my own thoughts

"Uh sorry I was just thinking about something" I realize then that I just made a mistake he looks at me suspiciously with his eye brow raised,

I really wasn't very good at this whole distraction thing and it felt wrong lying to Bruce,

Bruce looks like he's about to say something when suddenly the phone begins to ring cutting through the awkward silence

"I'll get it!" I shout probably too loud he knows something is up I will have to think up another lie.

I quickly jump out of my chair nearly falling on my face in the process and I clumsily sprint towards the ringing phone,

I reach the phone only moments before Alfred 

"Its cool Alfred I think I should take this one" I tell him he raises his brow looking at me with the same expression as Bruce.

Alfred knew about our plan but insists that he can't lie to him especially today of all days

"I think I'll make some tea" he says as he walks away pretending he never saw this

"Hello?" I say into the phone but I'm responded with a brief moment of silence

 I question if there is anyone there until a familiar voice travels through the phone

"Is Bruce Wayne there Tim this is an emergency son" it was Lucius Fox Bruce's second in command at Wayne Corp I quickly rack through my brain for a quick lie/excuse,

"No he's away at the moment can I give him a message" there is another long pause as the older man thinks about what I just said 

"He never said well tell him to get to Wayne Towers immediately" phew he bought it

"Ok I will" I hang up and go back to the Library I'm startled when I see Bruce standing right there with his arms crossed as I open the door I almost run into him and I don't like the expression on his face

"What are you hiding Tim?" he asks me I was getting fed up of all this after all I've been suspecting that I'm not the only one who's been hiding secrets I know what I saw earlier in the Bat Cave

"Me hiding stuff I'm not the one making heart eyes at Natasha" I realize that it was a mistake before I even said it but it was true I may be 10 but I'm not stupid.

Bruce's cheeks begin to turn a rosy red I realize that I've never seen Bruce blush before 

<it's actually quite satisfying to see after all Bruce is still human after all>

"You have no idea what you're talking about Tim" he says trying to control the creeping embarrassment on his face

"Yeah whatever are we going to study or not?" I say seriously regretting this whole conversation but it seems that Bruce has forgotten about what he previously asked me I just hope that I can keep this up.
