I'd never expected to feel like this way about Isabella but I do

I'd never expected to feel like this way about Isabella but I do. I know that it's my fault, her being shot... if I hadn't let her go up to the roof alone, then she would've been with me.

Isabella had passed out in the car, I was still driving to the hospital when I noticed her breathing slowed and her eyes drifted closed. That's when I bombed it down the roads.

She lost consciousness but her heart could have stopped at any second. I came to a break slamming halt at the emergency area of the building.

Her face is pale, too pale; a ghostly white.

"Shit!" I picked her up in a hurry, rushing into through the hospital doors and straight to the desk.

"Hello. How can I help you?" The receptionist said without looking up.

"It's to an emergency! She needs help! She's been shot twice!" I screamed at her face. Her head rose at the word 'shot'.

Her face twisted with worry as she peered at Isabella in my arms.

She pressed multiple times on the emergency button on her desk sending a ring throughout the bottom floor.

"Help is coming," the lady said. A few seconds passed by and people were rushing over to me with a stretcher.

Someone forcefully took the love of my life out of my arms. My ears couldn't pick up any sound and all I could see was the doctors trying to find a heartbeat and a possible light breath.

A doctor nodded but then began pushing Isabella through the corridor. A army of people were swarming her. My feet followed her but once it got to a double door, I was stopped suddenly by the receptionist.

"You can't go in there... they're going to perform surgery on her" my face paled. Isabella's dying, she's in surgery getting bullet extractions from her wounds... alone.

"Fuck! It's all my fault!" My green orbs blurred and tears escaped them.

"Hey. It'll be alright. She is in surgery now. She will heal... gradually. She might wake up soon" the lady urged me "go take a seat and when there's news I'll come straight to you" she began pushing me to a chair.

"Okay" I whispered

"Does she have any family members?" The woman spoke

"I don't know about her father's whereabouts but I know that her mother is in England" I mumbled devastated.

"Do you know how to contact either of them?"

"No" I can't contact them because that would put all of us in danger

"Okay, sir. Not a problem. We can ask her when she wakes up"

Then the waiting comes...
