Death.
Such a simple word
But such an awful thing
Yet some find a peace they did not know in life in it
Some are afraid
Some can't wait to get to Heaven
To be reunited with the loved ones they've lost
But still
It's hard for those left behindAnd she weeps
Weeps because death has stolen something of hers
Death tries to take her happiness and joy
So she pushes it down
Denies that death is a thief
Forces herself not to feel anything
It doesn't hurt if you don't feel itNo one knows
No one even has an inkling that she's in pain
And she wants it that way
If she doesn't let anyone know
She doesn't have to talk about it
She doesn't have to feel it
It doesn't hurt if you don't feel itIf she pretends that it didn't happen
It doesn't hurt
Some say it's denial
She says its survival
She won't let death steal anything else
She won't let it take her happiness____________________________________________________________
Goodbye Grandma
I hope you had a great time seeing Grandpa again
I can't wait until I get to see you again someday
Love,
