Dia's POV
"Shut the f**k up" I groaned but then realised it was my stupid alarm clock. Today was an important interview for me. It was my dream job to become a HR manger of a company and if that company is Rai Industry then your life is set. I want this job at any cost.
Well before I get anywhere let me introduce my self I am Dia Patil. An ambitious New Yorker. I am here for past 4 years but still I haven't achieved anything concrete. My previous jobs either I quit or I was fired. Ha ha ha simple.
I quickly dressed up and took a subway to 5th avenue that's where Rai Industry was located. The subway ride was short. I quickly got out of the station and now I was standing in front of the building. I did a little research on this company it said it's current CEO is Aarav Rai and it's founder was Arjun Rai who shifted the business from New Delhi to New York. Hmmm interesting. My appointment was at 10 and it was currently 9:20. So I decided to go inside and wait.
The interior of the building was well designed the building was tall enough for me to not see how many floors exactly it had. I went straight to the reception.
"Hi I am here for the HR manger's interview" I said in my sweetest voice.
"Name" the receptionist asked in a very dry voice.
"Dia Patil" I said with a frown.
"You are early so come tomorrow" she said while looking through her laptop.
"Excuse me" I said while trying to process what she actually said.
"What are dumb and deaf I said come tomorrow" she said in the same annoying tone.
Before I could say anything someone from my behind said. "What happened Jessica" I turned and saw a man maybe in his mid fifties. He was tall and had sharp features. Good looking man. What are you doing Dia. I scolded myself internally.
"Morning Mr. Rai I was just saying to this girl that she needs to wait for her chance to come" what are you kidding me right now.
Without thinking I just "oh really were you saying that girl" I asked her while narrowing my eyes.
"Yes I was saying that only you dumb" she said.
"What I am dumb I am dumb either you don't know who a dumb person is or you are yourself dumb" I was practically mocking her.
"Enough" came a cool voice from behind me. "Jessica make sure this doesn't happen again and you" he pointed towards me "come to 30th floor for the interview" he said and then went away followed by his two bodyguards.
Okay this was weird. I know that I am not getting this job but still I will accept my defeat just like a brave soldier. With that thought I went to 30th floor.
I reached the floor and was escorted to the interviewers room by a sweet girl her name was Alice she was the secretary to Mr. Arjun Rai. I knocked on the door.
"Come in" I entered. But I froze when I saw the same man from the previous incident. Now I am definitely not getting the job still I will try my best.
"Good morning sir" I said with the brightest smile.
"Good morning Miss Patil. Have a seat" I think this is how they start the interview when they don't want to give the job to that person. All sweet like sugar and calm. I made a self note. I quickly sat on one of the visitors chair.
"I had a look through your CV well it was very appealing from rest of the profiles. 2nd in your university job experience but..." he left the statement hanging in the middle.
But the stunt you pulled in the lobby was not acceptable I thought to myself. "But" I asked although I knew the question.
"But why did you leave those jobs they were good. Good pay and everything" he asked. Thank god.
"Oh.... those were not jobs they were compulsion" I said.
"Compulsion. Why?" He asked is an a surprised tone.
"Well when you are need of money then I guess" I said with a smile.
"Quite convinced I am. Okay then Miss Patil if you get the job then you will be working under my son" he stood up and we shook our hands.
"I will be looking forward for your call" I said that and then went out. I went out of the building.
"Thank you Rai industry but I don't think I will be coming here again. So bye" with that I went to my home sweet home.
Aarav's POV
Well today was kind of tiring I just returned from Italy sealing a great deal. I am sure dad will be very happy. I got dressed in my casual wear and went for dinner.
"Hi mom" I said when I saw. I think she just returned from the hospital as she had her coat in her hand.
"Aarav when did you return my first born child" she said while practically chocking me to death.
"Mom stop. I am not a kid anymore" I said while trying to get out of her grip man she was strong.
"Shut up and hug me back. You know how much I missed you" she said.
"Yeah I know. Please but now can I get some food I am really hungry" I said.
"Let everyone come" she said and went towards her room. I saw Rishi coming down.
"Hey big brother when did you return" he asked.
"A while ago" I said while going through phone.
"Did you got my favourite thing" he asks while elbowing me. I knew he was talking about famous Italian wine.
"Yes it's in the fridge but we are not having it today for dinner" I said.
"Fine" he said. That's when mom and dad entered the room.
"Hello boys" dad came and sat beside me.
"How was the meeting Aarav" dad asked.
"It was great. Well at last we got the deal. It just needs your signature now" I said.
"Oh good. By the way we finally got a new HR manger." he said.
"Oh wow that's great" I said.
"We just need to confirm it with her. Some Indian girl what was her name ummm.... yes Dia, Dia Patil" he said.
"Fine I will ask Jessica to call her" I said.
"Okay but do it after dinner" he said and then we started eating our dinner. After dinner I quickly called Jessica to call the girl whosoever she was and confirm her HR position. I the went to draft some documents.
