Forgiveness or Rejection?

-(Y/N)'s POV-

"Katie?" Serena repeated, raising an eyebrow, "The Katie? The one who betrayed you?"

I nodded, "Yep. That's the idiot I met when I six."

"I am not an idiot! You are!" Katie spoke up, flipping her hair.

I rolled my eyes, "I wasn't talking to you so shut up." I snapped back.

Her face became red once again from the anger and embarrassment she was facing.

"Ooooooh.. Burn!" I heard Bonnie whispered, and her face became even more red.

"Bonnie!" Clemont half-shouted and half-whispered.

"What?" Bonnie asked sarcastically, Clemont sighed, "Just.. Stop."

"What? You gonna stay quiet or gonna argue back?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"..."

I sighed, "Ok. Guess that answers the question then.."

"Come on guys, let's go to the gym." I said while walking towards the door with everyone following me.

"Wait!" I heard her shout. I turned around and crossed my arms, "What?"

"I.. I wanna say.. Sorry.. For what I did long time ago.." She whispered, looking down the floor.

My eyes widened in surprise as she would actually say that. But anger filled me up again as I realized what she was doing.

"I am not stupid to fall for the same trick again, Ok?" I focused my eyes her.

She instantly looked back up and seemed surprised by my answer, "What? No! I would never do that again!"

I froze and kept on listening.

"I really was stupid to betray a great person like you.. Guess I really just wanted to do it.. I didn't think you'd actually be able to escape the darkness inside you and make true friends..." She trailed off, attempting to make eye contact with me.

I thought for a second. Should I forgive her, or not? I mean, she really did sound like she mean it, but.. I know her.. What if she betray me again? What should I do?

"Please forgive me." Her voice sounded so quiet, she really was making me say sorry.

What should I do?

Is this a trick? Or does she really mean it?

"I.." Katie's eyes sparked up, hoping I would sorry to her.

"I.. Forgive you.."

"Really? Yay!"

"(Y/N)? What are you doing?" Bonnie asked.

"What?" I said.

"She could betray you again.." Serena spoke up.

"Yeah.." Ash agreed.

"But.. She really does sound like she mean it.." I whispered.

"I mean.." Clemont looked at Katie, who was jumping up and down, "She really did sound like she mean it.."

"See? Even he agrees." I said.

"You know what? I agree. Maybe she really did change for good." Serena smiled while Ash nodded.

"How about you, Bonnie?" Clemont asked. Bonnie though for a second, "I still don't trust her."

"Bonnie, come on. She meant it, have you heard her voice when she was apologizing?" Clemont tried to convince his little sister.

"Yeah. Come on Bonnie." Serena spoke up.

She sighed, "Ok, fine. I trust her."

"Yay!" I jumped, "Come on! Let's go to the gym!" I shouted happily while everyone followed me.

I made the right decision, right?

Oh, don't worry about it, (Y/N). She won't do the same thing she did a long time ago.
