The waiting room in the hospital was packed out with stressed out and furious people.
You could hardly see the stark white walls or the polished floor that was routinely heavily scrubbed with disinfectant, because so many bodies were packed into the one area.
"What the hell do you mean you can't tell me anything?!"
Arian Evans demanded, his fists clenched tightly enough that his impressive arm muscles bulged, letting you know just what he was made of and his fists pressed against the shiny surface of the large desk.
The clearly intimidated red headed young woman behind the desk flicked her green gaze towards the bright computer screen.
"I-I m-mean the-"
"What the hell is goin' on with my Sister?!"
Brogan demanded, he and Corbin striding up to join Arian in front of the desk, looking like identical and extremely intimidating that a bloke like Arian certainly didn't need, particularly when faced with a couple of hospital staff members.
The red headed receptionist flinched at the hostile approach.
"Cool it."
Darwin Hunter reasoned, walking forward and placing a hand onto Brogan's tense shoulder to urge him backward.
"Intimidating people like her ain't gonna get ya nowhere Bro."
He muttered.
"Fuck off!"
Brogan growled, throwing his best friend's hand off him.
"My Sister is only in there coz she was trynna save your Brother's arse!"
He yelled, shoving into Darwin's solid chest with each of the last three words.
"Fucken cool it!"
Corbin Evans ordered, wheeling around to come between the best friends.
He shot a fierce glare towards his twin Brother.
"Not helping Bro!"
His glare moved on to Darwin.
"Maybe you boys should go."
Darwin glared back, his deep blue gaze equally lethal.
"You can't blame Zan! He didn't touch her!"
He all but growled.
"Nobody's blaming Zander."
Arian declared, turning his back on the reception desk and facing the men that were two years younger than himself.
"They are!"
Darwin insisted, lifting his chin towards the eldest of the Evans twins.
"For good reason!"
Brogan retorted heatedly.
"Like the rest of us trouble follows him everywhere!"
"You're a fucken idiot!"
Darwin growled, storming forwards.
"It's all fine when he's getting in fights for your Sister though isn't it!"
He yelled, going toe to toe with the equally stubborn, tall and muscled young man.
"SHUT UP!"
All heads spun towards the frustrated shout.
Keegan Evans and Zander Hunter were on their feet, several feet away from the hard plastic chairs and near a double doorway where a Doctor stressed in green scrubs was standing, a clipboard tucked under one arm and a pair of Nurse's in blue flanking him.
The Doctor clearly had a few years under his belt, with almost an entire head of grey hairs.
He was clean shaven, but had visible lines around his eyes and near his mouth.
His weary expression said it wasn't the first time he'd seen angry people when they were worried about the unknown condition of a Patient they cared about.
He appeared to just be waiting for the flames to settle down.
Like the mass of a huge wave in a coastal storm, those gathered in the Waiting Room surged towards the medical trio, desperate for answers.
"I can kind of assume by looking at some of you that you're here for Bailey Evans-Harley?"
The weary Doctor asked, but half stated as he looked around the people gathered in front of him.
"Yes."
Arian stepped out to indicate that he was leading the show on behalf of those gathered.
"What can ya tell us Doc?"
The Doctor grimaced slightly.
"Unfortunately not a whole lot at the moment."
A collective groan arose among those gathered around the Doctor.
Several words like fuck, shit and god damn it slipped around.
"It's clear she suffered at least one blow to the back of her head."
The Doctor explained, his gaze travelling over almost every person standing present before him as he attempted to address them all.
"We know that much!"
Keegan growled.
"She was bleeding from the back of her head!"
Many of the guys gathered in the crowd grimaced.
Zander visibly flinched.
"There is swelling on her brain and we believe it was caused from the impact."
The Doctor informed them all, not letting Keegan's words get to him.
"So make it go down!"
Judd told the Doctor.
A collective murmur arose among the guys.
"Unfortunately it's not that simple."
The Doctor admitted.
"At this point in time it's all just a waiting game."
More groan's arose among the group.
The expletives rose in intensity, including words like motherfucker.
"I honestly would recommend you all just take a break from this hospital."
The Doctor suggested, his gaze flicking around the majority of the faces.
It was clear everybody in the room was tense, agitated, worried, frustrated and even fairly furious.
Not really a recipe that you need around a hospital's Emergency Ward.
"We're goin' nowhere until she wakes up!"
Brogan declared, folding his arms stubbornly across his chest.
"Second that."
Izac and Judd Hunter muttered, also crossing their arms.
Keegan and Zander too folded their arms and stared stubbornly at the medical team in front of them.
"In all honesty guys, I see this kind of thing all the time... I certainly understand how stressful it is for you to wait. But the fact of the matter is that there's no telling exactly when she will wake."
The Doctor reasoned.
"We can call you as soon as she wakes."
The Nurse's nodded vigorously.
Clearly they thought it was a great idea to get this mob of evidently extremely attractive, but furious and albeit a little scary men out of their hospital ward.
"In all fairness Doc."
Arian stated, also stubbornly folding his arms across his chest.
"Not one of us here is willing to leave Bailey to wake up alone and terrified."
The rest of the guys nodded their agreement.
"Then take shifts."
The Doctor offered.
"You'll be amazed at what just getting out of here, taking a walk and grabbing a feed will do for your mental wellbeing."
The guys all turned in to face each other and discuss what the best thing to do would be.
