Charmed Again

I screamed. Melinda screamed. Payton screamed. Wyatt screamed. The entire room was filled with our shrieks. My heart was beating so loud in my chest I could I hear it in my ears. My blood was rushing around my body, my voice boxed strained from screaming so loudly. My ear drums echoing mine and everyone else's screams. The noise died down and the room was silent.

"Geeez that was a scary film!" Melinda shouted breaking the silence.

Wyatt and I started to laugh on the couch. We had a bright idea to have a scary movie marathon tonight because there was a blue moon. But Melinda had Payton staying over and they joined us. Wyatt let them stay, wanting to watch them scream.

Little did he know that the film was absolutely terrifying and he and I did most of the screaming.

I was crouched up on the sofa in my pyjamas, practically sitting on Wyatt with a bowl of popcorn next to me. Wyatt was also in his pyjamas and was leaning just as close to me as I was to him.

"I can't believe with the life that we have we scream at a horror movie." I said putting the popcorn on the table.

"Yes but I haven't had a demon possess me and make me crawl down the stairs backwards." Payton said getting up off of the sofa.

"No that's more of Anna's expertise." Wyatt joked.

I slapped him across the arm as he laughed. I couldn't help but laugh as well. Melinda and Payton were quietly laughing to themselves.

A smile had crouched on to my face as we all laughed and joked about my possession that happened a month ago.

"I think I'm going to go to bed Before you guys make me stay down here to watch another movie." Melinda said standing up next to Payton.

"Goodnight guys." I waved them goodbye.

They both started to walk up the stairs. I got up and dusted off a few popcorn kernels from my tartan pyjama bottoms.

"That was fun." Wyatt smiled leaning back into the sofa.

"Yeah. Watching a bunch of girls scream is defiantly the highlight of my evening." I said with a grin.

"Hey that film was creepy as hell! Besides you screamed too!" Wyatt answered back defending his pride.

"We should go to bed because I'm pretty sure your parents won't be able to deal with more screaming at..almost midnight." I told him turning off the TV.

Wyatt nodded and stood up. We both headed towards the stairs. As we were both walking up there was noise coming from the front door. I looked to see what it was.

Chris and a blonde girl fell through the door laughing and whispering. They were both totally wasted. I rolled my eyes and continued walking up the stairs.

Wyatt walked down the stairs to his little brother.

"Wyatt, W-wyaaatt." Chris slurred and fell on Wyatt.

From what I gathered from Wyatt's expression Chris stank. The girl he was with just leaned on the small table next to the staircase.

"I need you to s-sleepp somewhere elssse tonight." Chris whispered to Wyatt.

He winked at Wyatt and started to laugh. That was enough indication to make me go sick. Chris and that girl were wasted and they were going to have sex. With Piper and Leo in the room next door.

Ew.

"Wyatt." I whispered down to him. "You can stay in my room tonight if you want."

Wyatt looked at me and smiled gently. He let Chris go and collect his..date. Then Wyatt started to walk up the stairs. I continued to walk upstairs and left Chris and his date wasted on the floor.

I was taking off a few sheets and pillows from my bed. Piper had put a sofa in my bedroom because she had nowhere else to put it. She had bought it to go in the living room but then realised it was too small. So she kindly gave it to me.

I tossed the pillows and sheets on the sofa. I wasn't going to let him stay in my bed.

"Do you think you'll be warm enough with just those?" Wyatt asked me pointing to the bed.

I laughed as I puffed up a pillow.

"You're the one sleeping on the sofa with only a couple of 1cm thick sheets and you're asking if I'm going to be warm?" I asked laughing.

He just smiled and looked away.

"I have other blankets in that box there if you get cold in the night." I told him pointing to one of my boxes.

"Thanks but I think I'll be fine. And thanks for letting me stay in here tonight. I really don't want to know what my brother gets up to with his dates." Wyatt said with a repulsed look on his face.

"I don't blame you." I said.

I climbed Into bed and Wyatt crawled under the sheets on the sofa. He looked huge compared to that sofa and his legs dangled over the edge.

"Goodnight Wyatt." I said and turned off the light.

"Goodnight Kit." Wyatt's voice called out from the darkness.

I layed back on my pillow smiling and then slowly drifted off to sleep..
