As the hours faded away, the sky became grey and dull and rain fell from the dark clouds. I drifted in and out of sleep, listening to the tapping of the rain against the window, my eyes red and sore from crying.

I rested my head on a bunch of my pillows and tangled myself within my sheets. My room was dark and dismal and I saw the shadow of the window on my door.

My mind was slowly dropping into a sleep when something gently knocked my door.

"Anna.." I heard a voice say.

Oh Jesus...

It was Wyatt.

I couldn't face him. Not now. Not after what was just said.

He knocked again.

"Anna, please talk to me. I'm in the same position as you." He spoke.

I didn't answer him. There was a long silence.

I'm here for you..Anna. You can't keep pushing me away..especially when I feel the same way about you...

I heard his thought in my head and I responded with tears. They feel down my cheek and soaked my sheets.

There was nothing after that. Not his voice, not his thoughts. Just me. In the quiet. I turned over in my sheets and buried my head into them, listening to the fall of raindrops..

The next day I slept all the way through until lunch. I had constant knocks on my door but I didn't answer them. I needed to be alone. I needed time to wrap my head around the whole thing.

By the time I had ten knocks on the door I was ready to explode. I yanked the sheets off of my body and I got out of bed. I quickly walked over to the door and gripped the dresser that was in the way. With one swift push it glided across the floor to the other side of the room. I hauled my bedroom door open and went to scream in the persons face but stopped myself.

Melinda stood there, with a tray in her arms. On it was a plate of pancakes, a bowl of fruit and glass of orange juice. She looked up at me with gentle eyes. She seemed to glow with positivity. Her brown hair was tied in a long braid and rested on her shoulder. She had a pretty, white cotton dress on that fluttered whenever she made the slightest move.

She looked better than me that's for sure. Tangled hair, yesterday's clothes, red rimmed eyes and probably gross breath.

She was certainly a sight for sore eyes.

"I saved you some pancakes from breakfast. I thought you would be hungry so I got some fruit too. I'm not sure what you really like." Her young and soft voice said.

She pushed the tray towards me. I took it off of her and looked down at the food.

"It's fine. It's perfect actually." I said breaking a small smile.

She gave me a gentle smile back and then turned away and started down the hallway.

What am I doing?

I was being rude. And over reacting like I do with every situation.

I turned around and put the breakfast on my dresser and then closed my bedroom door.

I slowly came down the stairs, fidgeting, trying to fix whatever I put together today to make me look at least half decent.

My hair scraped together into a messy ponytail, a baggy grey V neck top, dark jeans and boots. It was more of an effort than I needed to put in considering half the day was gone already.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs nobody was in the living room. I went through to the dining room and kitchen but nobody was there. I went through to the conservatory and stopped.

Melinda, Wyatt, Chris and Pandora were sitting around, Melinda and Wyatt looking through the Book Of Shadows and Chris and Pandora scrying over a map.

They all looked at me.

Ah crap, I knew this was a bad idea.

No don't go. It's okay.

Wyatt's voice spoke softly in only my head and I stopped myself from sprinting back up the stairs.

"Well if it isn't Sleeping Beauty herself. Oh no wait wrong reincarnation." Pandora taunted.

Anger sparked up inside me and suddenly my hands were flickering blue with volts. Wyatt and Chris both stood up at the same time. I realised what I was doing and then quickly evaporated the sparks.

"Sorry. I'm a bit...odd lately." I said looking down at the floor.

"No it's totally fine, but electrocute me or do that thing where people's brains explode then I will have a premonition of you in a ditch with a tombstone over your head." Pandora answered back and then left the conservatory.

What the hell is her problem?...

"She and Caleb broke up. Everyone has been getting slashed so don't worry." Wyatt reassured me.

He probably heard my thought...

I stood there, tapping my hands against my thighs, looking around, not knowing what to say.

"Sooo what are you doing?" I finally asked.

"Trying to find that slimy rat Rowan and looking in the book of shadows for anything on reincarnation of historical figures." Chris answered.

I nodded, clicking my tongue, and my eyes wandering off around the room.

I heard something chiming and moving. I looked behind Chris and Wyatt and saw that the scrying crystal was fluttering and vibrating.

"Guys." Melinda's little voice sounded concerned.

We all walked over to the crystal. Wyatt, Chris and Melinda looked down in worry and bewilderment.

"Has it done that before?" I asked.

Wyatt shook his head, not tearing his eyes away from the crystal. Suddenly, the crystal flew across the map and landed on a spot in San Fransico.

Wyatt looked at where it landed.

"That's on the other side of town, by the construction sites." He said.

Chris was grinning in a worrying way.

"I think we've found our slimy rat."
