Charmed Again (Part 2/3)

Chapter 26

We had put Rowan on the couch and Wyatt was healing his wounds. He had been stabbed in the stomach and had been scratched on his face.

"Who did this to you?" I asked folding my arms.

"It was Mordered. He found me and...well you can see what happened next." Rowan explained.

His wound was all healed and everyone came closer to hear his story. I didn't take a seat, I couldn't sit still.

Wyatt took a seat on the arm of the chair that Melinda was sitting on and Chris stayed far in the corner. I stood above Rowan, staring down at him.

"I don't care who done it. I want to know what happened." I demanded.

He looked up at me with a little fright in his eyes.

"I was trying to find the right place to open up a portal to get us back to Camelot. I came to one place and then Mordered appeared and tried to kill me." Rowan explained.

"Wait hang on, if Mordered wanted you dead, you'd be dead." Chris announced coming over to us.

"That is what I was going to explain next. I managed to get back here before he could kill me." Rowan told us.

"If you came back here then that means Mordered is going to come here too!" Chris shouted.

"Chris calm down." Wyatt said standing up. "Can Mordered find you here?"

"No my leige, I made sure that there was a cloak on my transition. I would never put you or Anna in danger." He humbly said.

I exchanged looks between Wyatt and Chris.

"What about me? And Melinda and my mom and dad?" Chris said with anger.

"You shouldn't even be involved in this young man." Rowan spat back.

"Oh yeah don't worry, the elders have already filled us in on that so you drop the act." Chris argued.

This is going down well......

I thought. I averted my eyes from everyone.

You should see him in a job interview....

Wyatt's thought bounced through my head and I couldn't help but giggle. I looked his way and he dropped his head to stop people from seeing him smirk.

Rowan looked back and forth between me and Wyatt and then got up off of the couch.

"I admit I had to obscure the truth from you all until you were ready to find out. But now you do we have the power to change the fate of Camelot. And nobody will get in the way of destiny." Rowan explained looking at Chris on the last sentence.

Chris just scowled at him.

"Let's just focus on Mordered okay?" Wyatt said stopping smirking.

"When do you think he's going to attack next?" I asked.

Rowan shook his head.

"I'm not sure but it will be soon. We both can't stay in this time any longer otherwise we will affect the natural balance. We must travel to Camelot soon." He explained.

"Are you sure this potion will work?" Wyatt asked as he poured the liquid into the vile.

"It should yes. But to be sure make sure all of it is used." Rowan answered.

"We already have a potion though?" Melinda said.

"We're making more to be careful." I replied.

Chris came into the attic with a frown on his face.

"I couldn't scry for Mordered. He's gone. For now." He said.

I huffed.

This is ridiculous. We only get a lead when he attacks us....

I knew Wyatt heard that thought. It was impossible for him not to.

I could ask the elders?....

Wyatt thought.

No. I think I've had enough of elders for the last couple of days....

I sent my thought to him.

I saw him nod in agreement.

"I think I should go to the Magic School to look for another method." Rowan announced.

"Yeah sure okay. Melinda, you can go with Rowan to help." Wyatt suggested.

She nodded and then walked to Rowan. He held his hand and then they both disappeared.

Wyatt, Chris and myself just stood in the attic in silence.

"I think I'm going to go with them. Keep an eye on Melinda." Chris said looking down.

I just nodded. The room filled with orbs and then Chris was gone.

I tapped my thighs and looked around. I didn't know what to say. Wyatt coughed and then scratched the back of his head.

"Do you uh wanna go out somewhere? Get some food?" He asked.

"Sure." I said taking my time on saying it.

Wyatt walked over to me and grabbed my hand. I had the sudden light feeling and before I knew it, I was standing in Piper's restaurant..
