GRACIE led them through the building, pass windows with mutant animals. Pass doors with horrible sounds escaping past. Gracie just walked, comfortable in her blue singlet and shorts. Her mother's bracelet was wrapped around her right wrist. Always. It would never ever come off. As far as she was concerned, it was that bracelet that had given her the powers.

She blinked her eyes and thought: Aura. Instantly the bright colors in the room died down, everything turned black and white, now she could only feel the bright Aura's of Kelè and Lydia behind her. Kelè had a dark brown Aura that radiated off her body, her daughter's Aura looked completely different. It was a bright white, it was almost so bright that Gracie had to turn away.

'Gracie!! Are these the new Receivers??' A tall beautiful ginger woman with brown eyes, a nice body and hair so silky it looked like waves of an ocean when she walked, walked down the hall. She was dressed in a tight black suit that as far as Gracie knew was so provocative she was sure her mother would have ripped it straight off her body. 'Yes Isla. This is Kelè and Lydia.'
'Thanks. You may leave now.' Isla said and Gracie hurried off.

'Hi. I'm Lydia. And this is..' She was cut off when claws, long metal claws protruded from Isla's fingertips. They were about 10inches long and were as deadly as claws could get. Kelè noticed that Isla wasn't wearing any shoes and her toenails were now also long metal nails, just as scary as her fingernails. 'I'm sorry? What in the world are you doing?' Lydia asked, her voice quivering. 'Nothing.' Isla replied and lunged at Kelè. She spun and kicked out. Her toenails racked across Kelè's chest and she fell to the ground in pain.

Lydia waved her hands wildly and gravity ceased to exist. All three woman flew to the ceiling and in a second Isla was on Lydia. Her nails sliced her arm and Lydia screamed in horror. Kelè had gotten up and suddenly two rabid wolves with blood red eyes and abnormal fangs jumped out of the wall. They raced towards Isla and pounced on her. Isla stabbed one of them and it fell in a heap. The other took a deep chunk out of Isla's leg. 'Aaaaggh!' She screamed as she sliced down and the wolves head fell off.

Kelè flicked her wrist and an elephant, or more like a demon elephant appeared through the floor. It stomped towards Isla, tusks pointed out, ready to impale her. She slid under the elephant and stabbed it's belly as she slid. Its organs and entrails fell out and it heaved a final breath before slumping to the ground. She stood up, smiled and looked at Kelè with wild eyes, filled with excitement. 'That's the best you got?' She dropped onto her knees and hands and smiled again. She jumped of the ground like a sprinter off a starting block.

She suddenly dug her nails into the wall and crawled on it like a spider, a dangerous spider to be exact. Kelè raised her hand up high and brought it down quickly, a crab claw, as big a school bus protruded from the wall where Isla was crawling on and grabbed onto her. The claw held her onto tightly, not killing her but enough to keep her there. 'Uh!' She yelled as she furiously poked at the giant crab pincer. 'Isla. I'm warning you. I could kill you in an instant. But I'm giving you a chance to explain what the hell is going on!'

Lydia slowly stood up, her hands wrapped around the badly tattered arm. She opened up her palm and gravity returned to normal, but she made sure that Kelé and her fell slowly. 'Now! Explain!' Isla laughed. 'That was amazing! You pass! Pass with flying colors!'
'What are you talking about!?' Kelè asked.
'Well, that was a test. To see whether your up to join us. And if I could say so myself, you were fantastic. Your daughter wasn't as, but we can work on that.' Isla replied.
'Put her down already.' Terry walked in, a grin on his face. 'That was a test. I assure you.'

'Lydia now!' Kelè yelled and gravity under Bayley, Terry, Carson and Joe suspended. They flew to the ceiling and another crab claw appeared, trapping them to the ceiling. 'I'm sorry but I don't trust you.' Kelè said as she walked towards the rest off them. 'I need y'all to explain or I'm going to get that pincer to slice all of you in half.'

Carson knew what she had to do and she had started to open her mouth when Terry interrupted. 'Fine. We'll explain.'

Terry took his time explains about how they had Isla test each new Receiver. If they failed, they went to the lower training center. If they passed like Kelè and Lydia they were put into they Alpha Course. They ones who made it past the Alpha Course then went into the Omega Course and after so joined the Soldiers. He also mentioned that as Lydia and Kelè had seen, the only people who made it past all three test, were Carson, Bayley, Joe, Penn, Isla, Terry and surprisingly Gracie. 'Now that we've explained can you put us down.'

The pincers exploded into dust and they all fell to the ground. Isla walked up to them and shook both the hands and after which, led them to the Alpha Course houses on Level 43. They had a private home to themselves which to their surprise looked exactly like their old house. 'Woah. How in the world did they do that?' Lydia asked.
Isla smiled as she spoke, 'These are called smart-houses, they detect your mood and adjust to look like the house you lived in. A hopeless attempt to try and make y'all at home.'

'Anyway, your schedule for each day will be shown on the screen in your living room every morning. If you need any help just press this button here for assurance.' Isla explained as she walked them through the house. Isla checked her watch 5.45 pm. 'Meet at the Alpha Course gym at 7.00. Please be punctual. '
