EVA hit her head against the roof of the mall and nearly blacked out, unfortunately she didn't. She continued rolling down the roof, hitting into vents, satellite dishes and solar panels. Out of the corner of her swollen eye, she saw the little girl along with some other people falling towards a skyscraper on the left of the mall. Her rope had snapped the minute the world had gone sideways, so obviously she was going to die from the impact of falling on the skyscrapers side.
She closed her eyes, finding herself thinking about what she would have done if dying wasn't a part of her boring, monotonous 16 year old life. She would have gone to college, gotten married, hopefully to Cameron, who was also probably dead. Probably would have worked as one of those boring as hell jobs, like accounting or financial management. Definitely not modeling or acting or even journalism. She wouldn't be the next Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston. She would have children who would have gone through the same life as her. Maybe, this was for the better.
'CRUNCH!' She felt her left arm and three of her left ribcages smash upon impact on the side of the skyscraper. Her head bounced of one of the glass windows and snapped foward, her neck cracking loudly. She couldn't feel her feet and felt blood rushing to her head.
What's going on?? How am I alive??! She thought to herself. She surely would have died. It WAS a great fall. She tried lifting her head, and felt a huge amount of pain shoot down her body. Eva screamed and bit her tongue trying to hold down her already pouring tears. Oh god. Why??? In that short amount of time she had managed to see just how she had survived. Although the rope had snapped, a short piece of rope, maybe 5 meters long had been dragging along with her and at the last possible second had gotten stuck between the metal grates in an air duct.
Eva still slammed pretty hard into the side of the skyscraper and the rope had just saved her from definite death. Suddenly, another thought rushed into her head. She was hanging upside down. She remembered reading somewhere that if she hanged upside down for me than 8 minutes she could die due to ruptures of blood vessels in her head. How long had she been hanging?! 6 or 7 minutes at least. Her head was throbbing badly too. She forced herself up and reached for her ankles. Waves of pain, like Eva had never ever left before coursed through her. She pushed through and tugged at the rope and instantly it released.
She fell landing on her back. Again pain shot up her body. 'How am I going to do this?!' Eva yelled out.
