Steve picked up his motorcycle from SHIELD headquarters on the way to the bar. Being behind him on the motorcycle made me feel free. It felt so good feeling this way since I have been locked up for almost half my life. I wrapped my legs around Steve’s torso and extended my hands outward. I felt like I was flying.

Suddenly my foot slipped and I came pummeling down on the road. The motorcycle engine died down and I heard quick footsteps approaching. “Sarah! Are you okay? Sarah?”

I rolled over on my back laughing.

“What the hell?”

I felt the wounds in my face heal. “I am a vampire dummy. I can heal almost instantly.”

He sits back and starts laughing.

“It has been a while, hasn’t it?”

“What are you talking about?”

“Really laughing.”

“Yeah I guess it has. Thank you.”

“You are welcome.”

“Damn, look at your clothes.”

“What? I thought that was the fashion in this era?”

“Oh it’s like that?”

“Yep. It definitely is.” I stare into his eyes. The blue is brighter than usual. “We should probably go.”

“Yeah we should.”

We got back on the bike and drove to the bar. He put on his cap.

“Are you ashamed of me?”

“Never. It’s just. People.”

“I understand. You don’t want the people to recognise you.”

“Precisely.”

We enter the bar and took a seat at the back.

“What shall we start with?”

“It doesn’t matter Steve; I have a high tolerance.”

“Well I can’t get drunk at all.”

“Lucky you.”

“Yeah not really.”

After a few drinks, I was starting to feel tipsy. “Maybe we should head home.”

“Yeah, maybe we should.” A smile plastered to his face.
