“Hi miss Sarah Darling my name is Agent Maria Hill and you have just joined the dead.”
I sat up and shook my head to get everything around me back into focus. “Where am I?”
“Welcome to the underground office of the dead SHIELD agents. Director Fury is in the next room.”
“Is that where the smell is coming from?”
“Unfortunately they where unable to fix him but he is alive and now that you are here, you can save him.”
“Did you get the bullet out of me?”
“Yes, but you are lucky that you can heal this quick otherwise you would be dead. Now will you please help me?”
“Off course. But I need a “pick me up” first.”
She leaned over to the cooler and picked up a few blood bags. “Will these help? Or does it need to be fresh?”
“No this is fine. Thanks.”
She handed me the bags and left the room. In the silence I replayed the scene in my head. Over and over and over again. This assassin is smart and very strong. I mean it takes a lot to knock the captain of his feet. Crap, the captain. I threw the empty bags in the bin and made my way to Fury's bedside.
“I thought he was dead.”
“That is exactly what we wanted.”
I placed my wrist between my lips and bit. I place my bleeding open wound in Fury’s mouth. He slowly started to swallow the crimson liquid.
“I am not going to give him to much otherwise he will heal to fast and then his rib bones won't settle right. I will give him more later this was just to keep him alive.”The heart monitor’s pace started to pick up to a normal pace. “Thank you.”
I nodded. "Have you heard anything from the captain?"
"No. As far as I know they took him to Shield HQ and that was the last I heard of him."
"Will you let me know as soon as you hear something." I lower ny head. The pain of losing another person in my life twisting in my heart like a sharp knife.
Maria places her hand on mine. "Hey, the captain is a very strong guy. He is very hard to kill. He will be okay."
"I swear if you are going to kiss, I am going to throw up."
"Sir I am so glad you are okay." Maria got up and gave him some water.
"I guess it is all thanks to you."
"It was nothing really."
"Thank you agent Darling."
I just smiled and left.
