"Wave your hands in the air like you don't care." Cameo - Word Up (1986)
_____
"Emily? What are you doing here?" His voice still ringing in my ears, his beautiful voice singing Love Me Tender. What is he doing here?
"What are you doing here?" He repeated, still staring at me, bewildered.
"I, uh. I'm visiting my cousin."
"No, what are you doing here in this room?" He stated.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. But I heard you shouting, singing Love Me Tender. I couldn't resist to not coming in."
He gulped. "You heard me singing?"
"Yeah, why? You have an amazing voice, trust me." I giggled, but then I stopped because I'm in a middle of somebody's sad moment.
"Why didn't I see you? I went here straight after I drove you home."
"As well as I, I'm here with my brother."
"Your brother? The one that's standing on your front door?" Kale told me, smirking.
"Yes." I stated. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure," he smiled, he just got a beautiful smile.
"Um, who, um, who is this?" I asked nervously, I don't want to hurt his feelings.
"Oh, she's my mother." He looked down and sat on the couch.
I approached him and sat beside him. "I'm sorry." I didn't want to question him anymore, it'll make him sadder to see his mother here.
He didn't reply, keep looking down at the ground. "Hey, it's late why aren't you home yet? Didn't your brother drive you home?"
"My cousin just woke up after a coma, so I have to stay with her for a few moments. But when I want to get home, my brother just want to stay here for a few moments." I told him as I could see sparkles in his eyes.
"Let me drive you home, you need to change. You're still wearing the same clothes since this morning," he declared.
"No, I'll get a taxi. Anyway, you've been driving me this afternoon. I wouldn't let you do that twice."
He took my waist and tickling it. "Kale, stop it!" I demanded him, and he wont stop.
"Let me drive you home first," he begged.
"Okay, okay!" I surrendered.
I'm lying on the couch and Kale finally stopped tickling me. But when I look at him, he was expressionless. He's licking his lips, standing on top of me. His hands are on my hips as I could feel my heart pounded.
He's leaning in, and in a seconds I closed my eyes his lips was on mine. I kissed him back, placing my hands on his neck.
For it's been like ten minutes, I pulled away. He smirked at me. "Come on, let me take you home."
I nodded, my heart is beating so fast but I was quite happy about that, but oh god. It's Kale.
He stood up and so does I. I fix my disheveled dress, as Kale took my hand on his. I couldn't stop smiling, he's my first kiss. I can't believe it.
"Wait," he gave a kiss on his mother's forehead. "Lets go."
"Aw, you're so sweet, you're the sweetest jackass I've ever met." I told him jokingly.
"So, you still think I'm a jackass?" He smirked, pinching my cheek. "You're so cute."
I got to his car he drove me with this afternoon. Kale opened the door for me as I sat there, smirking.
