"That is very awkward, I wouldn't repeat that." I said, looking at Steve. "Kale is mad at me right now because of you, how could you even told him about something we did last night? I didn't even know we did that!" I blabbered to Steve who's now driving me back to my house.
"I'm sorry Emily, I didn't know. I didn't even know that you didn't know we did that last night. You were drunk, Emily."
"You shouldn't just tell that to anyone! At least you asked me that I remember or not!" I snapped at him.
"Wouldn't that will make everything more awkward?" He asked, looking at me with anger. "I didn't know, okay. I apologized and you should stop right now. Let Kale think to himself for a moment, maybe if he's still purely in love to you, he would forgive you." He continued, with loud shout.
"I couldn't let him, god, Steve! I kissed you last night, at your house! Your secret house! The house that not many people knows! I didn't even know we did! And now Kale knows before I did!" I snapped again, making him looking down at the ground for a moment.
"That's not my secret house! I'll let everyone in, even some animals outside!" He shouted.
I groaned. "That's it, okay!" I watched the car stopped right in front of my house. Thank god I told mom that I'm going to stay at my friend's house, so no more fight I could get. I rushed out from the car, slamming the door shut before I knew Steve was right in front of me as I bumped into him. "Steve!"
"Emily, please. If Kale didn't want to forgive you, at least I'm here for you. That you're not alone."
My eyes was staring at him for a moment, but then left to my house. I walked past him, ignoring.
I ran into my bedroom, and saw Conner checking out at my vinyls. "What are you doing here?" I snapped, as I could hear Ain't No Way by Aretha Franklin playing on the gramophone. "Get away!" I commanded, pulling him from my bed and pushed him outside, clicking the door shut and locked it behind him.
"Emily! What is wrong with you?" Conner shouted, still knocking at the door.
He was playing the Aretha Franklin album, one of my vinyls. The Lady Soul album. I never seen Conner checking out on my vinyls before, what was he doing?
"If you don't let me in, maybe I should never come in. You're changing, Emily. You used to play like all of those albums loudly on repeat but never these days. I was about to buy you some new albums but you shoo me away before I could even ask." He stopped because I clicked the door open.
"What do you want?" I know if this happened to him, he wants something from me. This is normal.
"Nothing, I was about to ask you out for vinyl shopping and I'll pay. But I guess you don't want me to." This is not normal.
"Wait!" I shouted, stopping him in front of me. "You said you don't need anything from me and you just want to get me some new albums?" I asked, raising my eyebrows high.
"Yep," he stated. "I mean, you're out frequently and we don't have some times together and-"
"Wait! You missed me! Ha! I know it!" I laughed at him.
His eyes widened and my response. "No, not that-"
I cut him off. "You missed me, you missed the shopping with me times and-"
"Okay! Yeah, I missed that. I can't ask Seth out to pick me some clothes and you can. And I can help you pick some vinyls you used to get, you know."
I continued laughing, making him moan. "Okay, I'll come."
He stared at me excitedly. "Really?"
"Yes. Anyway, since I don't have cash for my new vinyl." I raised my eyebrows at him, looking at him with my smile.
"Anyway, that boy outside. He's still standing next to his car." I took a peek at my window and yes, Steve's car was still parking on the same spot as he leaned onto the door.
I groaned, "Conner, just wait over here. I will get this straight." I made my way to the front door, checking at Steve who's watching the fluttering grass.
"Why are you still here, shouldn't you be home?" I asked, earning a jump from Steve.
"Emily!" He embraced me, making my eyes widened.
I pat his back. "Okay, Steve. My family are right inside, so please don't make a bad impression to them." I explained.
"Please just forgive me, okay. I'm standing here, fighting for you."
"What are you talking about? I couldn't stay mad at you. I forgave you, but I'm going out with Conner. Will you come?" I don't know why I asked him that, but I just want him to be near me. He's like the best person to me, and tomorrow I had detention.
"Guys, please. I'm going to have the day out with my sister and I wont let her friend or boyfriend here ruined it." Conner broke our embrace, making me elbowed him.
"He's my friend, Conner."
_____
My eyes was focusing on that, I was shocked. He was with a girl. "Are you serious it's him?" I continued asking Steve who's right on my left.
"What are you kids talking about?" Conner asked, confusedly.
"You don't know our problems, and you're only a few years different from me. You shouldn't called me a kid." I explained, earning a glare from him.
"Okay, since you two have something to figure out, I'll go shopping by myself." Conner offered, making me mouthing a thank you to him.
"Yes! it is Keith!" Steve declared.
He was with older woman, chatting with her and kissing her on the mouth. "Ew." I stated.
From all I know, Keith didn't like older woman and still dating one of our cheerleader. "These things gave me pleasure."
"How?" Steve asked confusedly.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Give me your phone." Keith was getting closer to us, still eating that woman face. "Cheese!" I shouted and clicked the camera when Keith was standing right in front of me, kissing that chick.
He stared at me in shock before trying to get the phone away from me. "Emily? What the hell are you doing here?" He asked worriedly, looking around. "You shouldn't be here!" He snapped.
"But I got you a picture, isn't that nice?" I told him, smiling as cockily as I could and ran before taking Steve's hand with me.
"Emily! Come back!" The last words I could hear from him before we vanished away between all of the people. I laughed hardly after that, earning a glare from Steve.
"That is so rude, you shouldn't do that!" He declared, taking away the phone I was holding.
"It's funny, please don't delete that. I wouldn't do anything to that picture, nor would I upload, okay." I said, still giggling.
"People were staring at us like we're kids running through the hall."
"Okay, it's fine. Here," I gave the phone back, leaving the picture to Steve.
"This is obviously annoying, why don't we do other stuff? Your brother were probably searching for clothes right now, and what would we do? Let's go find what are you looking for, vinyls, right?" He asked before I nodded and walked by with him.
