The last thing we needed to do before the triplets arrived was to pack their hospital bag. Y/N and I we're in the newly finished nursery getting the stuff that the triplets would need as well as their going home outfit. Y/N had finally come over her cold and would be going back to work for a months and a couple of weeks before she took maternity leave to prepare for the birth. She was pretty big at this point in the pregnancy since she was carrying multiple children at once. She scratched her bump since the stretch marks were annoying her, with being itchy.
"Ok what do we have so far and what do we need?" She asked looking over the list of things.
"Well we definitely still need to get a stroller that holds all three children with car seats. We can go out later and get those, then I'll install them into the car." She wrote it down. "And we have their coming home outfits, their first outfits -which are the ones that we did the gender reveals in- , we have diapers, pacifiers, blankets, bottles -just in case-, a pump..... does that seem right?"
"Were gonna need scratching mittens and socks, and pack shoes just in case." I got the stuff out of the drawer and put it in the hospital bag. "Also we're gonna have to put the birth plan on top so that we don't forget it."
She wrote that down too. Next we went into our room and decided to get our hospital bag ready. With Y/N just hitting the 7 1/2 month mark we really needed to get our parenting game up since we could be having three small babies in the next few short weeks. Y/N sat on the bed out of breath from that stairs. She was in shorts and a shirt, but she took off the shirt to cool down. I let her rest for a bit and put together the hospital bag that we would need.
"Hey babe, what do you want to wea-" I found her fast asleep on the bed, so I put a light blanket on her and Macey jumped up onto the bed with her and fell asleep. "I love you so much Y/N, more than any word in the dictionary."
I kissed her forehead and grabbed some tops that were going to be easy to breastfeed in after they were born. I picked out some sweatpants and leggings to wear after the birth as well. After I picked out clothing for her, I picked out clothes for myself. Then Y/N came into the room with the shirt that she was previously wearing on.
"Are you ready to put our hospital bag together?" She asked tiredly.
"I did it while you were asleep hun."
"You did?" She was very confused. "How long did it take you?"
"Yeah I did, I did it while you where asleep so it must've been 30mins to an hour approximately."
"Oh ok. Thanks Ash. Do you want to go shopping for strollers then?"
"Yeah go get dressed and we'll go." I kissed her head and went downstairs.
She then came down 30 minutes later with sweats and a matching hoodie with a white shirt."You ready to go hun?" I put my hand on her lower back as she waddled to the closer to get some shoes. She dragged some sandals from the closet with her feet.
"Do you think you could help me? I kinda can't see my feet anymore." She laughed as she tried to put them on.
I put them on while she kept her balance on the counter. We went out to a few stores and was lucky that we found a stroller that could fit three, and we found three individual car seats. When we got everything that we were looking for, we went home and fell asleep.
