Chapter 6: Clash

Leslie POV

There was loud bang when the seal was taken off. Well that was because Sakura broke the boulder into pieces and the entrance was cleared.

"Remind me to never make Sakura mad." Naruto whispered to me panicking a little. I mean he ain't wrong...

"All units we are going in. What's the status over there?" Kakashi looked a bit confused. "Is everything alright?" Of course there would be traps surrounding the seals. Nothing is that easy.

Before I could ask Naruto ran inside without us making a game plan. We followed behind him. Before us was two Akatsuki members from before and Nicoole. The blonde man with the weird hands,Deidara, was sitting on top of a lifeless looking Gaara.

"Get off of him!" Naruto growled at them. Deidara laughed.

"I see what Itachi meant, he really is good at describing people." He was talking to Sasori and Nicoole.  This angered Naruto even further.

"We'll be taking him." Sasori stated. We could tell he wasn't paying attention to all of us only...

"If you want him that badly, you're gonna have to catch me." Deidara used his special "art" jutsu to summon the ugly bird like figure as he flew away with Gaara. Naruto without hesitation pursued him.

"Naruto!" Kakashi-sensei called out to him looking a bit flustered. "You three we will try to be back as soon as possible." He started to pursue Naruto.

I now focused myself on the two before me. Nicoole and Sasori. Nicoole whispered something to Sasori, which made him roll his eyes.

"Do what you want." Before I could react Nicoole was in front of me and I felt an immense strength hit me.

My body flew all the way into the forest which was an extreme surprise. I had to catch myself in order to stop from going further and further.

"Hi." Is all I heard Nicoole say. That's all!!!!? I didn't know what to say. I had a lot to say but words didn't come out.

"Why?" I said softly. She smiled at me but her eyes looked bored. "Why did you become like this?!" I started to shout. She crossed her arms.

"You don't know anything. Until you do, you'll realize why I did the things that I did." She closed her eyes for a moment.  "Enough. We're not here to talk. I'm here to kill you." She stated bluntly. Her speed was utterly fast. I had only a little time to react.

"Water vortex jutsu" she clasped her hands together to summon multiple water tornadoes around me. Each one came at me with full force. To dodge it I signed and used...

"Kaze(wind)no jutsu" strong winds blew around me and I controlled them to blow the water vortexes as far as way from me possible, some even disappearing.

"I guess you didn't do nothing for the past few years." Nicoole snorted. She started to use taijutsu against me and fought with full force. I did my best to block but she was just too strong. I was thrown back to the ground.

"But you're still weak."

Nicoole POV
I looked at my once friend and saw how much pain she was in. This isn't the time to kill her off yet.

"I'm not going to kill you, yet. I still think that you're holding back. Until the day comes where you can at least try stand as my equal even for a bit, I won't kill you. But don't come searching for me again. I'm right where I belong." I glared at her.

"Why...?" She paused. "Is it Itachi...? D-do you love him? Is that why?" When she said his name I smiled.

"He means everything to me. He's the reason why I exist." I said harshly. "You and Shanel are just in my way now."

She tried pushing herself off the ground but fell back onto her stomach.

"I'm disappointed but I guess You still have potential." I looked down at her.

Leslie POV
Potential?

"What is that suppose to mean?" I questioned her. I looked up at her.

"You have to get stronger. That's all." And with that she disappeared. I couldn't believe that I failed to even get a scratch on her.  I tried to get up but screamed in pain. I weaved some signs and summoned Neman.

"M'lady are you alright!" He looked cry concerned.

"Can you sprinkle some of your powder on me. I need to get healed up so I can go help Sakura and Chiyo-ba." I asked him. Each word I said I winced in pain. Without hesitation Neman started to work his magic. "Thank you." I closed my eyes, and started thinking of the past...

***10 Years ago***

"Leslie!" Shanel and Nicoole ran towards me. I was sitting by myself under a tree crying. "What's wrong?" Shanel asked.

"I tripped and scratched my knee." Nicoole and Shanel looked at the spot where I injured myself.

"Well you can either keep crying about it...or..." Shanel trailed off Nicoole started to finish her sentence.

"Or you can get back up and become stronger!" She smiled at me raising a open hand towards me. Shanel saw this and laughed and did the same. I smiled happily and took their hand and got up.

"See that wasn't so bad?" Shanel patted my back.

"Let's go to the nurses office though." Nicoole suggested. I nodded my head and we walked back towards the academy building.

***present day***

Remembering this memory, I slowly got back up.

"I'm going to get stronger, you'll see Nicoole! And I'll be the, no Shanel and I will save you!" I shouted.

"Neman, lets go help Sakura and Chiyo-ba." I said with confidence.

"Um well M'lady...they are technically done. They defeated him. You were somewhat unconscious for a while..." he tried to say as nice as possible.

"What! Then if it's been that long where's Shanel?!" Neman disappeared before he answered me. Shaking my head I tried sensing Sakura's chakra and walked towards her direction.
