Chapter 7: Me myself and I

Shanel POV

The seal was taken off but a mysterious figure appeared before me. That figure, which I assumed was part of the trap that was set up for the seal, shaped into me.

"Is anyone else seeing themselves?" I asked on the intercom.

"Me" I heard Neji, Tenten, Lee, and Gai say.

"Once we finish off ourselves, we need to go help Kakashi-sensei group." Gai-Sensei ordered.

"Roger doger Gai-Sensei!" Lee shouted into the intercom. *sigh* I was going to say something but the figure before me started to speak.

"You're a monster." It said. Wow so original not like I haven't heard that one before.

"You're funny." I said back to it smiling. "I love a good challenge." I started to attack it with full force of my katana. Of course it being me knew exactly how to block.

"You couldn't save them." It whispered. I somewhat froze. But then just rolled my eyes. "They, your sensei and best friend, dead and rogue, how can you keep living." It continued. "How could you kill those people as an Anbu so easily and smile." It didn't stop. "How could anyone want to be near you, to love you? When you can't even..." I cut it off and sent it flying. I started to feel by pulse to rise, but it wasn't from the battle. The seal within my brain was starting to wear off.

"Shut yo ass up."  I said. It didn't give up easily though. I sighed in frustration.

"They'll turn their backs on you too, sooner or later. Unless you kill them first." It started up again. I stared at it blankly.

Tenten POV
What was the Trap Shanel saying?

"Gai-sensei what's Shanel talking to Shanel about? What does it all mean?" I questioned. Gai-sensei was intensely looking down and looked somewhat sad.

"If you want to know you ask Shanel yourself."  He said. He looked a bit shaken. "Let's go help her."

Before we could help her she was using a powerful jutsu against herself which ended the battle.

Shanel POV
"Lighting strike Jutsu." I ran toward her but then concentrated my chakra to momentarily stop the lighting to allow disappear then appear seconds after. This final blow made myself disappear.

"Shanel, are you alright?" Neji, Tenten, Gai, and Lee ran up to me. I was still shaken but just shrugged. I felt the amount of chakra I used get to me and almost fell to the ground but stopped myself with my katana.

"Shanel!" Tenten shouted.

"I'm okay." I panted. The memories started flowing back from the past. Suppress. Luckily I still had chakra to tighten the seal.

"Are you sure?" Tenten still looked concerned. I smiled at her and nodded my head. I stood back up straight.

"How did you defeat yourself so easily? We took forever to defeat ourselves." Neji crossed his arms looking a bit taken aback.

"I know my weaknesses." I started to explain. "But with my weaknesses I know when to shut my own mouth up and just focus on the task. The traps laid here are to attack us not just physically but mentally as well. Since mine focused to attack me more mentally, I kicked myself butt." I laughed a little. Lee was in awe.

"Wow Gai-Sensei we have to be more like Shanel!" He shouted. "She might be the definition of springtime youth!!!" He was getting all excited. I awkwardly smiled but became serious again.

  "Let's go." I ordered. The group became silent. "We need to go help Team Kakashi." Everyone nodded their head in agreement.

We started to head towards where Naruto and Kakashi-Sensei were at. I started to get worried. I could sense the nine tails chakra intensifying. But suddenly it disappeared. Strange.

If the ninetails chakra appeared I'm assuming that Naruto realized that Gaara May have been dead.

"What would the Akatsuki want with Gaara?" Lee asked.

"They targeted him because he's a jinchuriki. Meaning they most likely wanted to extract the onetail out of him." I explained.

"That's so scary..." Tenten whispered.

"Look it's Sakura and Chiyo-ba!" Lee yelled. We saw Sakura and Chiyo-ba struggling.

"Are you okay?" Neji asked the two of them. They stated that they were fine but could tell the battle they had was intense.

"We're almost near Tea Kakashi. Let's keep moving." Gai-Sensei ordered.
