Chapter 17: Itachi vs Sasuke: The longest Moment...

Nicoole POV

We were walking to a somewhat familiar location. It was a place which was once owned by the Uchiha.

"Why are we here?" I asked Itachi. He looked at me and stared into my eyes for the longest time, and then continued walking.

"Kisame, please stay here." Itachi asked Kisame nicely. Kisame shrugged and sat down. "Nicoole follow me." I did as he said and we walked into a tall building.

Once we were inside deep within the building was a chair where Itachi sat down. He seemed more tired and worn out than usual. I sat on the arm rest of the chair.

"Are you okay?" I asked him. He nodded his head and rested his arm through his Akatsuki outfit. I felt a bit uneasy but stayed silent.

Soon I felt a familiar Chakra approach us and felt even more uneasy than before. Sasuke. The figure appeared before us and had eyes filled with hatred.

"Hello, Sasuke." Itachi greeted him. Itachi motioned for me to move to a safer location.

I watched from afar about what was going to go down.

"I will kill you." Sasuke said angrily.

"But you don't have the eyes, the same ones as me." Itachi states back. I sat there confused. Mangekyou?

"I thought about it. Killing my most precious friend to obtain the eyes that you wanted me to. But why should I follow the path that you laid out for me." Sasuke grinned. He looked over to me. "Once I finish you Itachi, I'm going to kill her." I felt a chill go up my spine. I looked towards Itachi who seemed like he wasn't fazed. But...something was wrong. His breathing was uneven.

Soon the battle began. At first nothing seemed to had happened and no one moved. But soon I realized that Sasuke was under Itachi's genjustsu. Itachi stood up and walked towards Sauske. But soon Sasuke broke out of his Genjutsu.

"This isn't going to be a battle between genjutsu anymore...it's pointless. Which means..." Before I could finish my thought Sasuke used Chidori while Itachi used his fire jutsu. They broke the building down and were now on top of the roof. Luckily I got out of there in time.

The two stood face to face. Both signing the fireball jutsu. And at the center their power ninjutsu clashed. I felt my face burning from the two's power. I looked at Itachi worried, unsure why he wasn't using his full strength. Suddenly black flames started to engulf the two's jutsu and all the flames disappeared.

"Amaterasu..." I whispered, a bit taken aback that Itachi would even use it. I continued watching the two. Soon Itachi used Amaterasu to burn Sasuke. Sasuke used his curse mark to protect himself but it wasn't working. I could hear him scream in pain as the some of the roof caved in and he fell underneath. Itachi stood still looking at the amount of flames that he created. He looked towards me giving me a blank expression, but making direct eye contact.

Boom!

Dragon like flames were coming from underneath of Itachi and he tried to dodge each of them. Something was definitely wrong. His eyes were bleeding and he wasn't as quick as he should be.  Sasuke appeared from underneath.

"Is that all you got." Itachi asked giving him a blank expression. Sasuke smirked and looked at the sky.

"I'm going to do something I have never done before. Here it is at last... I'll make your death a reality." Sasuke put his arm up. "Kiri!" He used the lightning from the sky and directed it full strength towards...

"ITACHI WATCH OUT!" I screamed in terror. The lightning struck and caused dust and ash to fly everywhere. I was unable to see anything.

Once everything cleared I felt my blood go cold. I saw Itachi lying face down on the ground while Sasuke stood there looking toward him. I felt myself breathing uneasily.  But as I was unable to say or do anything I saw Itachi slowly get up as a red aura engulfed him.

"Is that all? Then I guess it's my turn. Allow me to show you my final trump card." Itachi stood up on his two feet. Sasuke looked shocked and scared as he tried to move back. "Susano.."

Before Sasuke could say anything else he started to act strangely. He was shaking in his curse mark form and suddenly white snakes appeared out of his curse mark.

"Orochimaru." I laughed out of disgust. From the snakes mouth Orochimaru appeared and was saying something about taking over sasuke's body. But before anything else could happen, Itachi used the Totsuka blade to seal Orochimaru.

With Orochimaru gone nothing stood in the way from Itachi defeating Sasuke. But, Itachi started coughing and clutching his chest and he was...coughing up blood!

"Itachi!" I shouted out towards him. Susanoo downgraded a bit. But as Sasuke tried to throw a kunai susanoo full form appeared. Itachi looked towards me and smiled looking me in the eyes showing me a genjutsu. I felt myself fall to the ground.  The last thing I saw was Itachi smile towards Sasuke and fall to the ground... dead.

-Genjutsu-

I stood in a open field not familiar to myself.

"Nicoole" I heard Itachi call out from behind. I turned around and gave him a hug.

"I knew you were okay!" I smiled up at him. He looked down at me with a sad expression.

"Nicoole. If your seeing this genjutsu that means that I... I'm no longer with you and it's my way to part ways with you and say...that I love you and I'm sorry." I felt my body go cold and looked at him confused.

"What are you talking about?"

"I was never meant to live after this battle, I was sick... and death was inevitable. " he said. I felt tears streaming down my face.

"Please...don't leave me." I begged him but the genjutsu started to wear off and I felt myself become unconscious.
