I hated being sick. I shut the door to the bathroom and grabbed a new bucket from the hallway closet. Lucky for me my uncle didn't use these buckets anymore so he wouldn't mind if they got used.
When I finally got back into my bed I realized that I had just left Jasper hanging there in the phone. Mid sentence. I reached to pick up my phone and saw that he must have hung up on me or my phone ended the call.
A groan escaped my mouth. I should call him back to let him know that I didn't try to ignore him, but that I exactly had to throw up. It was a conversation I was looking forward to having with him, but not every conversation can be a comfortable one.
As I was about to call him back a single text message popped up on the screen of my phone that read look outside your window.
I didn't even bother looking at the name. I just ripped the covers off my and raced to the edge of my room to my window. There standing in the front of my yard was a familiar looking car and Jasper Hale.....?
What the hell was he doing here?!
"Mind if I come in?" Was all he said to me. I just stared at him for a few moments before rushing down the stairs to let him in. Opening the door I was greeted by his blonde hair that hung just a little past his ear and his perfect smile.
     "I-"
"I know you made it clear that you didn't want company Hannah, but I needed to make sure that you were alright".
I shook my head at him.
"It's okay Jasper". I said shutting the door behind him.
"Are you sure? I do not want to make you feel uncomfortable".
I flipped my arms in the air. "You don't make me feel uncomfortable". I just blurted out. Jasper smiled instantly and I felt my face getting red. Crap.
"Good". He said. "I'd never forgive myself if I made you feel uncomfortable around me".
    "No no your good".
A few minutes of awkward silence filled the air as I sat down on the couch and he sat beside me. I grabbed a few chucks of my hair and started playing with it.
"Hannah why did you move to Forks?" Jasper asked me breaking the silence.
"I needed a change of pace". I answered his question.
     "Why?"
I smirked at him. "Your just full of questions aren't you?"
Jasper smiled and leaned in. "I want to get to know you better. We are friends after all".
I smiled.
"Okay". I let out a sigh. "I moved to Forks to get away from my mom and step dad". I admitted to him.
"Did you not get along with your mother and her new husband?"
"Kind of". I said. Jasper raised an eyebrow at me and I decided to explain more. "She doesn't really pay that much attention to me and half the time I feel like she wouldn't care if I was dead. If I just dropped dead on the floor I bet you she wouldn't even blink".
Me and my mom had always had our issues, but when she get engaged to Dave everything changed. She stopped picking me up from school and every time I wanted to hangout with her she make some excuse how she was busy.
"Hannah". Jasper reached for my hand. His cold fingers laying on mine made he heat from me being sick decrease a bit.
"Did anyone ever tell you that your touch is cold?"
Jasper smiled. "Hannah your mother does care for you. She may be just adjusting to a new life style and wants to give you your own space". Jasper suggested. I let out a sigh.
"Maybe, but still I wish she'd just talk to me about it then".
"Try talking to her about it the next time she calls. Taking the first step is never easy".
I looked up from my lap and smiled at Jasper. He was something alright.
"Have you ever thought about a career in therapy? Cause your pretty good at it". I suggested. Jasper smiled.
"I have, but I prefer being outdoors then stuck in an office building all day". He replied.
     "That we have in common".
Just as Jasper was opening his mouth to utter a response my phone started vibrating. I picked it up, gave Jasper the give me a few seconds look and went straight to the kitchen.
    "Hello?"
"Hannah". Jacob. "Bella told me that you were sick today. Are you feeling any better?"
I smiled. "Jake I'm fine. Just caught a bug or something no need to worry".
There was a slight pause before Jake talked again, "Your sure your okay?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Yes Jake. I'm fine". I glanced back out into the living room to see that Jasper was standing up. "In fact I'm starting to feel better. I've been sleeping a lot better lately so that's a big help".
"If you say you are then I believe you. Call me if you do want me to come over though".
"Will do. Bye Jake". I hung up on him and meant back up with Jasper.
"Sorry about that Jacobs always trying to butt in on my life".
Jasper smiled. "He cares about you Hannah".
I let out a groan and crossed my arms over my chest. "Well sometimes I wish he'd wouldn't. Between him trying to make Bella angry and telling me I should stay away from you-"
Crap.
I cupped my hands over my mouth.
"Do you agree with what he said?"
I shook my head.
"No way". I looked away from Jasper as my cheeks flared up again. "Jasper you've been nothing but friendly to me since I meant you. If it wasn't for you...well I'd probably still be getting lost around school".
Even if Jasper was blind I was still sure that he could tell that I liked him. Anyone could have figured it out by now.
"I would never let that happen". He reached for the door knob and opened the door. "I'm sure Bella's told you that we are throwing a party at our place after graduation".
    "She did mention it".
He smiled and opened his car door. "I would very much appreciate it if you would come".
My heart skipped a beat and smiled. "I wouldn't miss it".
"Get some rest Hannah". And with that Jasper sped off in his car leaving me with the biggest smile across my face.

Aww how cute was that! Oh man I can't wait for Hannah to learn that Jasper is a vampire. Hope you guys enjoyed it!
