Chatper 12: Sneaky

I hope I haven't upset Charlie by bringing you home late". Jasper said as we pulled up to the house and could see that Charlie's cruiser was already home. I shook my head at him.
    "Don't worry". I said leaning over to his side. "I texted him and that I'd be late". Jasper smiled and leaned in just as the house door opened and out came Charlie. He wave to us and both of us got out.
    "Hey Kiddo. Where's Bella?" He asked us both. I smiled and shrugged my shoulders.
    "Edwards bringing her back soon I think". I lied. Bella wasn't coming home tonight. Apparently Edward had something planned for them and I wasn't going to get involved.
   "Alright". He said looking over at Jasper.
   "Thanks for bringing her home". He said.
Jasper nodded and smiled. "Anytime sir". Charlie at Jasper calling him sir and walked back into the house to give us some space.
    "Interrupted again". I said making him smile.
    "Tomorrow we won't be". Jasper said making me raise any eyebrow at him. What was he talking about.
    "Tomorrow?"
    "I'll pick you at 11". Jasper said.
  I smirked. "Do you something planned?" Jasper smirked back at me. "A magician never reveals his secrets". He planted a kiss on my forehead.
    "Not even a hint?" He shook his head.
    "Get some rest Hannah". Jasper said as he walked back to his car and drove away.
I smiled back at the light of his car leaving our road and headed inside.
    "So you and Jasper hmm". Charlie hinted. I smiled and rolled my eyes at my uncle. Then I slipped off my shoes.
    "He's not that bad is he?"
Charlie sighed.
     "At least he's younger looking and manages to let you keep in contact with me". He said with a grumble in his voice. Charlie didn't have a problem with Carlisle and his family. He respected them as good members of the community, but he wasn't too thrilled about Bella, his daughter or me, his niece dating two of the kids. I knew he was just trying to be over protective guy, but me and Bella could protect ourselves.
    "Jasper knows that you worry about me so he reminds me every so often to check in with you". I replied.
    "Good". He said folding his paper up.
   "He wants you to like him". I added.
Charlie sighed. "I appreciate that. He's a good kid".
I smiled. "He is". I said pushing out a yawn. "Well I'm off to bed. Night Charlie". I said as Charlie waved goodnight to me.
I pulled myself up the stairs to my room and put something more warmer on. Since it was going to be pretty chilly tonight. Then I reached for my laptop and began looking online at local colleges.

Opening my eyes the next morning I looked around me and realized that I had fallen asleep next to my laptop still with my sweater on. I out stretched my arms and let out a yawn. Then I put on a pair of black yoga pants, an old band tee and slowly but surely made my way down the stairs to an empty house.
Sighing I noticed that Charlie had left a note saying that Bella had gone already up to Jacob and that she'd be back later. While Charlie was gone to work for a few extra hours.
I smiled and made myself a light lunch then went back upstairs to give Alice a call.
   "Hey Alice". I said holding my phone between my ear and shoulder blade while trying to pull my hair into a messy bun.
    "I had a feeling that you call me Hannah!"
Seriously..
    "Really Alice?"
She giggled. "Can't I tell a good joke once and a while? If Emmett can do it then why shouldn't I?"
I rolled my eyes.
    "I need a favor from you".
   "What kind of favor?" She asked me intrigued. I sighed.
    "Jasper is planning to take me somewhere today and he won't tell me where".
    "Hannah I would never spoil anything my brother has planned for you". Alice said. I rolled my eyes at her and knew that she was smiling up a storm behind her phone. "Besides I know you'll love it no matter what!"
    "Well that's not helpful Alice".
    "I'll let you go. Jasper is already there. Have fun". As soon as Alice finished her sentence and the line went dead a knock came from the front door. I swear never go  to Alice for help every again. I groaned and went over to the door to open it. Jasper smiled back at me and handed me a red rose. I raised an eyebrow at him and moved out of the way to let him in. Then I gently took the rose from his hand.
     "How did you-Alice of course". I said going into the kitchen to grab a vase to put it in.
    "I'm seriously going to have it out with her". I said. Jasper chuckled.
    "Are you ready?"
    "I don't know. Where are you taking me?" I asked him again. Hoping that he'd at least give me a hint.
     "I told you Hannah-"
I let out a groan. "I know"
Jasper smiled and pulled me into his arms. "Hannah I promise you that you will enjoy what I have planned for today. I would never put you in a situation that would make you uncomfortable". Jasper said reassuring me.
I knew that Jasper wouldn't do anything that I wouldn't ask of him to do, but this was my first date with my first boyfriend and I was completely nervous. The fact that Jasper was a vampire didn't really help the situation, but I knew that he wasn't going to hurt me.
     "Let me go get changed first". I said dashing for the stairs. I quickly opened my door, slipped on a pair of blue skinny jeans, a black shirt and a gray hoodie. Then wrapped Jasper's necklace around my neck and adjusted my hair so that the bun was not so messy anymore. Then I high tailed it back down to Jasper.
    "Well than shall we?"
I smiled at him and pushed my nerves away. "We shall".

Shorter chapter then most, but I'm excited for their date in the next chapter!
