Chapter 11: Gift

Charlie had finally texted me back after Jasper pulled into the driveway of his house. Charlie said that he wasn't going to be home for a few hours so it was up to us to make dinner for ourselves. Jasper had already called a head and asked Esme and Carlisle to make something for me and Bella. I had told him that he didn't have to, but he wouldn't take no for an answer.
Going back into that house after finding out that all its residents were veggie vampires kinda freaked me out, but with Jasper and my own cousin there it felt better. Jasper grabbed my jacket and hung it up on the coat hanger. Then he reached for my hand and led me upstairs to that balcony. The very same one where I first found out that Jasper was a vampire.
      "I wish Jake would just back off". I said breaking the silence. I knew that Jasper felt the same way. Jake was getting on his last nerves too.
Jasper smiled and pulled me closer to him. "As do I, but he can't bother us now". He said. I smirked and laid my head against his chest.
    "Jasper. Can I ask you something?"
Jasper smiled.
    "Anything".
I sighed and looked up at him. "What are we?" Jasper raised an eyebrow at my sudden question. "What I mean is are we dating or..."
    "I care deeply for you Hannah. I thought I made that clear?" Jasper replied. I nodded my head.
    "You did I just- we didn't make it official I mean". I said. "You never asked me to be your girlfriend and well I thought you would..."
Jasper smirked and leaned in. "Hannah your more then just a girlfriend to me". He said as my heart skipped a beat.
    "I am?"
He nodded. "Your my other half. My mate as we call it". Jasper replied just as my phone buzzed in my pocket. I let out a groan and pulled it out from my pocket. Just a text from Bella wondering when I would be coming home. I texted her back I'll let you know then slid my phone back into my pocket.
    "Was that Charlie checking up on you?"
I shook my head. "No. Bella just wanted to tell me something". I said with a smile. "Speaking of telling me something did you say I'm your mate?"
    "I did". Jasper said answering my question. I gulped and slowly looked up at him. Mate? Me? This whole thing sounded like something out of a movie.
   "Care to explain?" I asked him as Jasper wrapped his arms around me again. I smiled and laid my head back on his chest. Being in his arms like made me feel safe and protected.
     "As an immortal creature life grows to be a lonely one. We desire to find the perfect person who will stay with us for all eternity and when we do we will do everything in our power to be with them". Jasper said smiling down at me with his honey golden eyes.
    "To humans love and finding your lifelong partner is different. To us we treasure love and our mate is our other half. Our soulmate. We were born to be together".
I smiled and blushed glancing up at Jasper. He made it seem like I was some kind of angle and if I was being honest. That made me feel happy inside.
Nobody in my entire life had thought of me like that and to have someone think that, that I cared for, put a warm feeling in my heart.
    "So I'm your soulmate..?"
Jasper nodded. "Yes Hannah you are". He replied making my blush deepen.
    "Did Alice see it or..."
Jasper uttered a laugh before ushering us from the balcony to the second floor of the house. As we passed by a huge frame hanging in the hall I raised an eyebrow at him.
    "Are those-"
Jasper rolled his eyes. "Emmett thought it would be a good wall decoration". I covered my mouth with my hands as a laugh escaped from my mouth.
    "I didn't know Emmett was a comedian".
    "I'm afraid neither did Alice". He said leading us to the last room at the hall. "And to answer your question yes Alice did see you coming, but she did not need to tell me that you were my mate". Jasper moved in closer to me.
    "I could sense that you were the one the moment I laid my eyes on you". Jasper said softly. I gasped then crossed my arms over my chest.
     "Jasper you how cliché that sounds?" I pointed out to him as Jasper smirked
    "True, but it is still the truth". He replied in that sweet southern accent of his and then led me into a room. When I entered the room my eyes lit me up at all the books and photographs that lined the walls of what I assumed to be his room. Everything was so neatly organized and decorated the room beautifully. As my eyes wondered around at everything they then load upon a small black box laying on a small two seated couch.
I glanced up at Jasper who just gestured to the box. I raised an eyebrow at him then looked back at the box and went over to. I put it up with one hand and the proceeded to open it with the other. Taking the lid off the box I let out a gasp and turned to face Jasper.
     "I was going to give it to you the day of graduation". Jasper said as I pulled out a sliver key necklace from the box. He then walked over to me and pulled it behind me. Then he linked it together behind my neck.
    "But I wanted to wait until you and I were together". Jasper said. "Do you like it?"
I smiled up at him and then without a second thought I wrapped my arms around his neck. I could feel Jasper wrap his arms around my waist and my heart fluttered.
     "Jasper it's beautiful". I said. "Thank you".
    "Anything for you Hannah". Jasper said leaning in. I could feel my body tense up as I leaned in too. As me and Jasper's lips were about to touch a knock from his door broke us apart. Bella nervously smiled at us. I knew that she wasn't happy about having to interrupt us, but she wouldn't do it unless she had something important to tell.
    "Is everything alright Bella?" Jasper asked her as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
    "It's Alice". She answered him. "She thinks someone is controlling the army of newborns".

   "Victoria? Who's Victoria?" I asked anyone who was willing to answer me. Alice had explained to us that she had a feeling that someone was controlling the army of newborns other then Riley Biers.
When Charlie had told me about him missing I didn't think that it was a coincidence that Riley had gone missing in the same place that the newborn army was hiding out.
It just couldn't be. Jasper had told me the army was being controlled by someone who had power and newborns from what I had learned couldn't just do it on their own. There were just too wild. Someone had to be controlling them.
    "She was James mate". Edward stated. "When we killed James after he tried to turn Bella she swore that she'd get revenge on me".
I glanced up at Jasper. He seemed so on edge. I laced my fingers with his hoping to calm him down.
     "Why not do it herself?" I said. As everyone looked at me I gulped. "I mean why go through all this trouble of making an army when she could just kill Bella on her own?"
    "She wants to eliminate all of us". Carlisle said as he placed his hands on his mates shoulders.
    "But Carlisle you didn't kill James". I said looking at him. "Neither did you Rosalie". I said looking at Rose. Rosalie sighed and moved closer to Emmett.
    "It does not matter". Edward said looking over at me. "Victoria wants me to suffer and my family means the world to me". Edward smiled as he looked over at my cousin and kissed her on the forehead. Something about the way Bella and Edward were acting seemed off. Like something had changed about them, but I just shrugged it off. It wasn't the time for it anyway.
    "Well then she can die trying". I said glancing around the room at all the Cullen's and my cousin.
    "Hannah.." Bella just stared at me.
    "I mean it". I stated. "I care about Jasper and I care about all of you". I felt Jasper grip on my waist tighten and he pulled me closer to him. All the Cullen's in the room smiled even Rose cracked a small smile. Alice had the biggest smile on her pretty face as she ran over to me and pulled me into a huge hug.
    "We care about you too Hannah. Especially since Jasper has found his mate". She said making me blush slightly.
    "Cmon here Han". Emmett said joining in on the hug. Damn Emmett was one strong dude. Finally all three of us pulled apart as Carlisle laid a hand on my shoulder.
    "Thank you Hannah". He thanked me.
    "For what?" I said as he walked me out to the front door where Jasper was waiting by his car.
    "For giving Jasper his life back. We can all see a change in him and it's all thanks to you". He said making me smile.
    "I should be thanking you guys. You've been so welcoming to me even after Jasper told me what you are".
     "We trust you Hannah and we all want Jasper to be happy. If you make him happy then we wouldn't want to stand in the way". Carlisle said ushering me down to car. I waved goodbye to Carlisle through the front windshield and smiled back at the house as we drove off into the night.

Sorry for giving you guys this late. It's been a busy week.
