they stayed like that for no one knows how long. it was a wonderful moment that brendon has in years.

but then dallon looked his wrist machine and a worried look began to form on his face.

"Brendon, I have to go." dallon sadly announced. brendon's shape bent and his fins flopped.

"will you...come back?" brendon begged, his hands gripping on the rock quite harshly.

""I-I don't know...do you want me to come back?" the sailor asked.

"please! i don't...have...friends. i don't wanna be...alone. it's too...long. too...much time." brendon tried his best to not tear up. he tried not to think about the person who hurt him. but how could he not?

"But you're amazing! How come you don't have any friends?" dallon supportively questions.

"everyone thinks i am weird... they all hate me. i like...writing songs! and singing them...they think it's...different." brendon explained, trying to get his thoughts together.

"Hey, look, I'll come back here tomorrow! I think it's wonderful that you sing your own songs. It makes you special, Brendon." brendon looked deep into the human's eyes that held care for him. this human doesn't want to kill him. this human cared.

dallon wasn't like the other human. they were greedy and deceiving liars. even though, brendon just met this person. he knew he can believe the words that come of out his mouth. the red heating feeling on his cheeks got even warmer when he heard dallon talk about him like that.

"swear?" brendon asked, his eyes full of hope.

"I swear." dallon raised his hand and brought out his pinky finger. "Here, bring out this finger."

brendon brought his scaly hand up and imitated him by only lifting up his smallest finger.

"Humans call this a 'pinky promise' and it means a lot to us. I'm not allowed to break this promise ever and that means you can't either. Alright?" dallon hooked his finger with brendon's. the siren could feel the warmth of dallon invade his cold hand just from one finger.

"i pro-promise!" dallon chuckles lightly at brendon trying to say the word 'promise'

"Now, you should go back home. I don't think the people waiting for you are going to happen if you were gone this long." dallon smiled. brendon loved that smile on his face. it was pure and not phony.

brendon nodded his head and turned around, getting ready to jump out of the water.

"Good-bye, Brendon!" dallon did a waving motion with his hand and started a loud, growling sound from his boat.

and brendon being a siren who wanted to learn human ways to end a conversation, he waved back before leaping into the depths of the ocean to home.

Finally! An update! Forgive me for not having one out for this book in a while.
This week of school was stressing me so much but I hope that it'll get better next week because after next week will be fall break! That equals more time for writing! If you haven't yet, I have a drabbles book up and I'd appreciate if you checked it out. It's your decision, though! Thank you for reading and have a good day! <33
