Dallon woke up feeling distraught and anxious earlier. His dreams have been getting sadder and worsen his mood. As if his mood needed to be lessen to nothing but a pile of negative emotions.
But waking up to the beautiful sunset and smelling the ocean made up for the blue moods of the morning. He has his boat ready and the motor running. All he has to do was wait for his friends.
Dallon looked down into the blue water, seeing himself. Something about the ocean made him feel safe even though there were many dangers to it.
He hoped that today's visit won't end up like his dream, in which, Brendon didn't trust him anymore and called him a liar. The thought made Dallon more hesitant on taking the guys to visit him.
However, luckily, before Dallon's predicaments got worst, a happier voice broke those thoughts.
"Dallon! Hey! I'm here and I've bought Brendon a gift!" Chad cheerful walked over with a big smile and a small box at hand.
"Oh, what'd you get him?" Dallon was quite curious.
Chad opened the box and pulled out a...kazoo? Dallon tried to contain his laughter but thinking of Brendon playing the kazoo was one of the greatest and funniest things.
"H-hey! Don't laugh! I think the little guy is gonna love this! He—he is a little guy right?" Chad's face showed realization all the sudden, he was right. Dallon had no idea how old Brendon was. For all they know, he could be a hundred years old or even more! From previous readings, Dallon concluded that Brendon was in his older teen years of sorts or maybe a entering his adulthood.
"Maybe...? I should ask when we meet him. So, where's Ryan?" He asked.
"He's still preparing himself, mentally and physically." Chad sighed, setting his things down on the boat.
"Really? Wow, I thought he'd get over it by now. But I guess I'm wrong." He really can't believe that Ryan would still wait it out for this long. Dallon must have really underestimated fears and he should have known better. He has his own fears himself.
"Maybe I could head to his house and check on him?" The other guy suggested.
"Nah, it's okay, he'll come around, hopefully." Dallon wished that his statement wasn't a lie. After five minutes, that statement came true. Ryan rushed toward them with a puffy jacket and a plastic bag.
"I'm h-here!" Ryan came to a halt, supporting himself with his hands on his knees.
"Finally, what took you so long, Ry?" Chad questioned, his hand on his hip.
"W-well, you see, I was trying to find something to bring for Brendon and I didn't know what to get so I just threw some random shit in a bag." He gestured his hand holding the plastic bag.
"Then, what did you bring?" Dallon spoke up.
"Okay, so, I got him a bag of chips, a pair of my drumsticks, uhh, a few other snacks for us, and this necklace that I found under my bed...?" Ryan pulled out the necklace, it was silver with a little pendent that contained a little music note inside.
"Ooh, I like the necklace! I'm pretty sure Brendon will like it!" Chad smiled, taking it from Ryan to examine it.
"Brendon won't like die from eating a couple of ships right?" The blue-haired man asked the tallest guy.
"I'm pretty sure he'll be fine! He'll probably enjoy them," Dallon smiled and got on the boat. "Well, are y'all gonna get on or?"
The others nodded their heads and got on the boat as well. Two of the three men haven't been boating in a while, so, it was a nice experience to travel by the waters again. Dallon had began to steer the ship while Ryan and Chad was busy chatting to one another about their assumptions on Brendon. In which, Dallon had to correct them a few times, he didn't want the siren to come off as a monster.
Brendon was not a monster; he's just different than what humanity knew. While Dallon was maneuvering his boat, he was trying to keep all the nerves and fears down on a low. Hopefully, Brendon wouldn't attack his fellow friends or give up his trust in himself.
