((for VinylsAndVirtues because I love her and shE DESERVES THIS! <3))
As Dallon sailed back, he thought about the siren who had made him feel...affection...? He's not sure what he felt back there but he knows it's very reminiscent of loving someone. It's been quite the while since he's been compassionate.
There's a smile on his lips as he remembered a talk with Brendon. It was about something silly but Brendon had never seen a car before. His brown eyes just held a large amount of curiosity.
Brendon questioned what a car was since Dallon mentioned it during a story about a drive to the store. Dallon tried his best to break it down and simplified it to "a metal box with four circles on the bottom to help it move around."
Dallon took a little time to explain wheels and someone actually having to maneuver the car. Brendon understood within a few minutes and Dallon has never felt so warm inside even if it was cold out.
All this remembering of the past had brought Dallon close to home. The island town wasn't far from his sights. As the distance between him and the town was nearing, Dallon could see two familiar faces waving at him.
When the boat had made into the ports, Dallon got off the boat and hugged his two friends.
"Ah, I think you were dead for a second, this trip took you a while than usual, what's up with that?" Ryan questioned as they separate from the hug.
"Yeah, I agree with Ryan...you took your time! Is that it?" Chad added.
"Look, we'll talk about it when we make it to my house. I think you guys might like this news. So, let's a get a move along, kiddos!"
"Just cause I'm a year younger than you, Dallon, that does not mean you can call me—us kids!" The blue-haired man commented as they walk back to Dallon's home.
"Well, Chad can be a kid at times and yes, you are a year younger than me, which means it makes sense to call y'all kids!" Dallon laughed with Chad nodding his head.
"You're supposed to be on my side, Chad!" The group had a laughing fit on the way to Dallon's home.

"Alright, so, let me get this straight, you found a siren and talked to it and who's probably gay for you?" Ryan attempted to collect his understanding about Dallon's story before taking a sip of coffee.
"Yes, I did find a siren! I would show photos but I didn't bring my camera. I've got drawings! And no, Ryan, he isn't gay for me." Dallon explained, taking his journal from the chair cushion.
"I mean...the way you describe your whole interaction, sounds like you're pretty gay for him too...just saying." Chad raised his hands up in defense.
"Guys, I don't think humans and sirens are supposed to fall in love. It's some of like...forbidden love or something. Besides, I'm still trying to get over...y'know..." The two guys in the room sigh and nod their heads. Dallon slumped in his chair, looking down.
"You're going to have to one day, Dallon. And it seems far away right now, but we're here for you." Chad said with hope in his voice.
"Thank you. I don't know where I might be with you guys."
"So, are you planning on meeting your so-called 'siren' tomorrow?" Ryan asked and took another drink of coffee.
"Should I? I think I should, he seemed very saddened if I don't. And I don't think that making a siren upset is on my bucket list." Dallon pondered. He wasn't sure what to do, what if Brendon was luring him to a trap? What if Brendon's gonna kill him and eat him later...?
"What about the town? Aren't you going to tell them about him? Don't they and the world deserve to know?" The man with glasses inquired, his eyes on the tall sailor.
"I haven't made a decision yet...but I really don't think it's a good idea. What if they reject him? What if they attack him and kill the whole siren race? Chad, I think I can trust you two to not expose him to the world." There's a serious look in his blue eyes at the two fellows in the room.
"Yeah, we will, anyway, Chad and I have to get back to the store." Ryan began to stand up from his seat, setting his up in the kitchen.
"You guys call me later, alright?" Dallon stood up and opened the door, letting his friends leave the home.
"Will do, have a good rest of the day, Dallon!" Chad waved and walked away.
"Hey, Dallon, be safe tomorrow, I don't want you to die from the harsh waves or anything. Have a good day, okay?" Ryan added before leaving as well.
When Dallon closed the door, he decided he'll make himself some soup and study a little more on sirens before the morning came.

Shoot, I haven't updated this book in a while, forgive me for that. I'll try to get the plot moving along soon, sorry for making this a little boring. I thought I needed a part where Dallon informs Ryan and Chad (yes, this is Chad Jamian!) about Brendon. Anyways, thank you for reading, have a wonderful day! <33
