The town was buzzing with sound as everyone wandered around in the fresh spring sun. Elizabeth
stood on a balcony overlooking the lake and town. The sound of little feet could be heard from the
balcony. Elizabeth turned around as a little girl with brown curly hair like her mother and big
brown eyes like her father wandered over to Elizabeth who picked her up in her arms and
swung her around. The sound of laughter came from the little girls mouth as she was swung
around in the air. Elizabeth placed her gently on the ground and held her hand. " can you see all
the little kids having fun?" She asked the little girl. The little girl replied with an excited scream.
Elizabeth smiled. " Do you want to get your brother and father and go have fun with the other kids.
The girl let out another excited scream. A soft laugh came from Elizabeth's mouth and she lead her
little girl down the stairs and into the living room. James was sitting on the couch while their little
son was sitting by the fire. " James I'm taking the kids for a walk down to the lake if you want to
come," Elizabeth enquires. James looks up at her and smiles. " Of course I will honey," he replies.
James walks over and takes the hand of the young boy. " Do you want to come to the lake and play
with the other kids." The boy looks up at his dad and smiles. " Yesss," he says excitedly. James
takes his hand and leads him to the front door. " Lily we are going out for a walk," Elizabeth said as
they made their way to the front door. Lily's head popped around the corner as she smiled at them.
" Have fun. Lunch will be ready when you get home." Elizabeth smiled. She took the small coat off
the rack and placed it on the little girls shoulder. She then grabbed hers and put it on. James had
put a coat on himself and the little boy. They made their way out of the house and into the cool
spring morning. They walked to the lake passing many people on their way. They reached the lake
and the two little kids went running off to play with all the other children. Elizabeth and James sat
down on the bench which Elizabeth always used to sit on. " I love you honey," James says to her as
he kisses her softly on the lips. Elizabeth couldn't help but smile. " I love you to." They sat their
holding hands as they watched the two little kids run happily around in the soft green grass. The
sun shone brightly above them as James said," We are a proper family and we will always be."
