Part 9

Kat took me going to the bathroom as a chance. She took one bite off of her donut and started going through my handbag in search of the small piece of paper. She already eyed up the door in case I'd come out, and that could have happened any second. People were already gawking at Kat because it wasn't her handbag she was going through. "I am so clumsy my contact lens fell into the bag, gotta look for it. Hehehehe." She went on searching for it. I took my time, once I finished I went through a monologue I had prepared for the audition so Kat had enough time. Kat finally found the paper in one of my handbag's side pockets and quickly typed it into her phone to save the number. Her saving the number made her say "Heureka!" which was louder then she actually wanted it to be and made everyone in the café look at her. "Thank god I found the contact lens" Kat said to a couple at the next door table and made it look like she was sticking something into her eye "they're we go I am not blind anymore" Kat said trying to sound normal. She put the piece of paper back into the side pocket and her own phone in her jacket's pocket. She finished just about when I, who knew nothing about her getting the number, returned back from the bathroom. "Okay Kat we have to eat up real fast" I said as I sat back down on my chair. "I have to look good for this audition." Kat slurped her coffee and smiled, she was very silent all of a sudden, not usual for Kat. "Kat why are you not saying anything? Did something happen?" I asked with an ernest voice. Kat responded with "everything's fine honey I am just going through outfit options in my head, because we have to get you that job." I smiled at her, she was such a lovely person and always knew what to say and when to say it. Kat drunk up her coffee and turned to me to ask: "What are you auditioning for actually?" I totally forgot to tell her, but well the incident, which ruined my outfit which I had planned for weeks made me forget about that. "Kat do you remember the movie we went to see on your birthday?" "Yeah, something with superheroes right? Oh god what was the name?" I gave her some time to think about it and it got really silent until she screamed out the title in typical Kat manner. "Civil War!" "Yes, correct" I said with a huge smile on my face. "And do you remember that guy in a red and blue spandex suit, small hint named after an insect." "Oh, yes of course I remember, it was something like Butterfly-Boy" "Not quite the superheroes name Kat, his name is Spider-Man" "Julia just get to the point please, too much thinking for me" she said whilst giggling. "Well your Butterfly-Boy is getting his own solo movie and I want to be in it."
