"To aunt Tessa's please" I said after settling down in the cab with Kat. The cab driver nodded and started the engine. Aunt Tessa's was mine and Kat's favorite café here in New York and they had everything plus Kat and I always took our pics for Instagram here. You know? The ones everybody aspires to take with the coffee in one hand looking into the distance, trying to act cool. Every time Kat and I come we take pictures like these, I mean our 290 followers love those tumblry photos and Kat and I always feel like celebrities when doing it. The owner is a lovely older woman called, yeah you guessed it, Tessa. She makes the best cakes, donuts, pastries and by that I mean croissants in all of NYC, sorry Starbucks. But there is a lot of traffic today in New York so I hope we'll still have time to shop. And I still got the number of that Harrison guy... I am completely in my thoughts when Kat snaps me back into reality. "Ahh thank god we're there I am so hungry, there you go Mr. Cab driver, keep the change I am feeling generous today" Well Kat tipped about two dollars. "And do you know what the best thing is Mister?" The can driver looked at Kat and then back at me with a questioning look on his face. He only replied with "No sé?" and looked at me as if I knew. "Well I no sé either Kat, what is it?" Kat then whispered "she is paying for my food." The poor cab driver clearly didn't understand a thing but I did and i swear to god it was such an awkward situation. I gestured to Kat to leave the cab so she did and I just said to the cab driver "well lo siento..." and left the cab as fast as possible. The cab driver didn't know what was going on but then finally drove off. I turned to Kat laughing "You're such a weirdo, you can't always do things like that." Kat laughed and responded with "darling I live by the quote: "better be weird and awkward than normal" every day." We both laughed and I opened the door to the café for her whilst saying "Darling" in the most poshest British accent I could. Once in the small café we were greeted by some of the most devine and delicious smells and Tessa of course, who by now knew our names. "Julia and Katherine how nice that you are back! Come on I'll show you to your table." She knew we'd like to take pictures so she always gave us the nicest place to sit where we like I said could take nice pictures. We sat next to a huge window which gave us a nice look into the full streets of New York. It was a beautiful café, small but always full with people. Everybody loved coming back, including me, because Tessa was one of the coolest and nicest people here in this big city. Once we sat down it started raining and I started feeling very relaxed. I watched the rain droplets roll down the window, small droplets forming into bigger ones and traveling down the window. A big smile formed on my face and I looked at Kat who was looking at her phone. Rain always made me relax and feel comfortable, but Kat and I weren't prepared for rain and we still needed to get me a nice outfit so I hoped that it wouldn't rain too much. We looked at the menu of there was something new that we haven't tried before, but no chance I think we might go to Tessa's a teeny weeny bit too often. But it was delicious believe me. I had picked out a nice hot coco and a small panini, Kat went for a coffee and a donut with a chocolate glaze. I suddenly got the urge to pee, so I put my phone on the table and my bag on the free chair next to me. "Kat imma go to the Ladies." Kat just nodded and eyed up our food Tessa had brought. You could see that she was very hungry. I smiled at her and walked up to the door of the Ladies. I had totally forgotten that I still had the piece of paper with Harrison's number on it, but "I'll do that later" I thought to myself. But Kat was there and she and I are very different.
