We three started talking for what felt like ages and came to the topic of favorite chocolate bars, when the guy who screams the numbers came back out to scream the number 637. I realized that was actually my number he kept on yelling. "6-3-7, number 637." My eyes widened and I crushed Jacobs arm because I was anxious. Well I didn't actually remember clenching his arm but Jacob yelled out "ouchhh Julia" and I let go of his arm. The guy again screamed my number and I proceeded to stand up. "Julia you'll get this job." "Yes, Jules you were born for this, now show them what a real actress looks like." Everybody looked at us now and Kelsey said, well screamed "just like the other beautiful people up in this building" and everybody looked away again. I mouthed "love you guys" and turned around to the number guy. He smiled at me and spoke into his headset. "Okayyy I'll bring in... Sorry what's your name?" "Ehh, it's Jul-" my voice cracked but I focused again "Julia Bishop" "Okay great, I'll bring Julia Bishop in now." We walked on a bit. And the number guy started talking after a while. "I am-" Okay you guys I feel bad, I don't remember his name. I mean I nearly peed my pants and you have to keep in mind that I had to remember my monologues. I have an idea let's just give this nice guy a new name, something like... Paul. "I am Paul by the way." "Hi Paul nice to meet you!" I responded. "Relax, you'll do great, I can see you shaking. Just be yourself!" He gave me a reassuring smile and I smiled back. We stopped walking because we stood in front of a large door, not gonna lie I shit my pants a bit. I had one chance to impress them. Paul opened the door for me and we walked in. In the room were three and Paul mumbled something to one of them and as he finished he looked at me, smiled and left the room. I heard the door being shut behind me. This is my one chance to prove myself and the thought of that made me shake again. Nobody spoke up for a while it was like they were doing the Manhattan Once-over. Oh yeah sorry a Manhattan Once-over is when a person looks you up and down for solid few minutes. They actually started taking notes but about what? About my physique? We stood there in silence until some woman probs the Casting Director spoke up.
"Sooo" she said "let's just start with you then shall we? Tell us something about yourself." I breathed in and out again. "I'm Julia Bishop, I am 19 years old, grew up in good old Britain. Right now I am in New York because I go to Uni here. I love everything about Marvel and as I saw you still needed actresses I figured that this could be my chance to evolve as an actress." One of them smiled and I got less anxious. "How much experience do you have?" "Well this could be my first ever movie role, I rather have experience on the theatre side of acting." "Mmh, interesting" said the person. "And what do you do in your free time?" "Well" I chuckled "I love drawing and I also-" one of them interrupted me again "What kind?" "Anything photo realism really." "Ah nice me too, okay continue." "I also dance since I am 5 years old. Ballett, Contemporary, Hip Hop and tap dance. I love dancing I mean it's helped me through a lot of excuse my language... a lot of shit." I actually wanted to tell them more but the woman interrupted me again. "Okay I think we heard enough." "Wow she really doesn't smile does she?" I thought. Is that good if they don't want to hear more? And is it good that they haven't asked me yet to preform my lines? "Julia I am sure you prepared some lines..." Thank god that's a good sign. "...but we don't actually want to hear them."
