chapter 4

Skye

The week went pretty fast, it's now 6am on Friday and I'm wide awake just laying under my nice warm bed sheets, Alex and I are sort of friends, well he gives me a ride to and from school.

I lied in bed for about half an hour before deciding to just get up, I put on high wasted jeans with rips, a white t-shirt, a grey cardigan, a cute scarf and some boots.

I exited my room and walked down stairs and into the kitchen to find Emma awake, "morning" she says happily, handing me an apple, "morning" I smiled, I took a bite of my apple and picked up my keys, "leaving so early?" She asked, I nodded unhappily, "there's a decade dance coming up at school and I have been told to help" she nodded and we said our goodbyes.

I left my house not realising that it was a lot colder than it looked from my window, I shivered and shut the door, I told Alex that I was walking today but he never got back to me, I walked a few streets before I heard the familiar engine noise, it stopped behind me, "why are you up and leaving so early?" He asks taking of his helmet, I smiled a little, "decade dance" he simply nodded and handed me his helmet, "get on" he smiled, I took his helmet and he drove me to school.

We hopped of the bike and headed inside, but instead of heading straight to the gym I stopped at reception to pick up a few things, the lady smiled at me as we approached, "how may I help?" She was way to happy at this time in the morning, "she's her to pick up a few things for the new student" Alex said for me, she looked at me and I nodded happily, she handed me the things and we headed to  the gym.

"So you excited to see your brother?" I nodded and couldn't help but smile, I still remember the day he left, it was probably the saddest day of both of our lives...

Flashback

"Are you all packed?" Emma asked, he nodded  sadly, "then let's go you have a plane to catch" he nodded again and we all left for the airport.

When we got to the airport his plane was early, he stood with his back to us for a moment, tears falling for my face as he turned around ran back towards me, he pulled me into a hug and we refused to let go when Emma told us to, "I'm gonna miss you so much Skye" he wipers in my ear, "I'm gonna miss you to Lucus" he let's go and picks his bag back up.

I pulled my sleeves over my hands and pulled my hand up to my face to hold in the sobs, "don't miss me to much, I'll be back don't worry" he says with a laugh, "I'd hate to break this up but you have a flight to be on Lucus" he sighed and rolled his eyes, "goodbye Lucus" he waved to me and boarded the plane.

I trudged back the car and sat with my elbow on the window with my sleeves over my hands and my head rested on my hand (confusing I know), Emma got in the car and sighed, "it was for the best Skye" I rolled my eyes, "yeah what ever you say,  just take me home, she started the car and drove off, when we reached home I quickly got out the car, opened the door and ran upstairs, I didn't come out for about three days straight...

End of flashback

"Skye?!" Alex yelled pulling me from my thoughts, I stared at him as we entered the gym, "are you okay?" He asked, I nodded and looked around the 80s  themed hall, "nice" he said, I smiled and walked over to where we told to go.

"And who are you?" A lady asks Alex, "I'm skye's helper" he simply said she nodded suspiciously and handed up a packet of balloons and told us to blow them up, half with helium and half with not.

We found a spot in the corner on a bench and started blowing them up, "so do you have lessons today or are we doing this all day" I pointed around the room meaning we have to stay here all day and he smiled leaning back against the wall.

After 30 minutes of blowing up balloons we got a bit bored, I picked up a balloon with no helium and untied it letting it go, Alex starts laughing and I silently giggle to myself, "watch this" he said, he pulled a helium balloon of its string and let it go, it flew all the way over to rhe other side of the room.

"Who was that!" The lady shouted, Alex tried to stop laughing when she looked at us, "sorry it was and nd accident" he rolls her eyes and turns back around, he starts laughing again and picks up another balloon, "we better get more than five dine before she has a go at us again" I nod and pick up a few more balloons.

When lunch time came around I left to go to my table in the corner but Alex grabbed my arm and pulled me to his, I look at him with wide eyes and he smiles, "don't worry my friends won't bite, and if they don I'll get the muzzle" he jokes, I smile and his fades for a moment before reappearing.

I sat down at the table and he introduced me to all of his friends, I glanced over at my table and Westley was giving the whole table a death glare, "I don't trust him" Alec whispers in my ear, I clench my jaw slightly and turn away from them.

After lunch we headed back to the gym for more decorating, we were still blowing up balloons cause that's all they trusted us to do, at the end of the day he drove me home but I took a detour, "where you going?" He asks, I look around to make sure nobody is around, "my tree house, you can come if you want to" I said before walking of sin the alley, a few seconds after I heard running footsteps coming towards me, "in couldn't let you go on your own, that would be unsafe" I laughed and playfully tolled my eyes, "weirdo" we both laughed and spent the rest of the afternoon in my small tree house Inn the middle of the woods.

Today was a pretty good day, I just can't wait to see Lucus again...
