Queen beneath Fili

Bilbos Brilliant Escape

Time passed and you were bored out of your mind. You hummed silently to yourself.

"What are you humming?" Fili asked

"Do you not recognize it?" You answer crawling to the iron door holing two poles so you could hear him better.

"Is it the lullaby you used to sing to me and Kili to sleep when there were lightning storms?" He inquired

"Yes" you say with a smile, " you two were petrified of those storms. Now I understand, the rock giants Thorin told us about are real."

He let out a light laugh. "You never believed in them. You would laugh at his story and jump up and fight Thorin pretending he was a rock giant. You were always fearless."

You were going to continue but next thing you know Bilbo it standing outside your cell.

"BILBO" you whisper loudly as you pull yourself up. He gestures you to be quiet as he unlocks your door. As soon as you hear the door unlock you shove it open and pick bilbo up in an embrace, spinning him. You realize Fili is just standing there waiting. You drop bilbo and snack the key from him. You quickly unlock the door and Fili pulls you into a hug. He holds you tight.

"Come, let's go get the others." Bilbo says taking the keys and quickly and quietly towards the others. You unlock each dwarf, everyone was so excited, hugging one another. We got Kili last. He jumped out and hugged his brother then me.

"Well how are we going to get out of here?" You say with sudden realization.

"You underestimate me my Lady" bilbo answers with a grin. You raise your eyebrow as he gestures you all to follow him.

You all quietly follow him, you behind Kili and Fili, holding Fili's hand. Bilbo leads you down to where the food is. From there he leads you to a pile of barrels. There are 14. You all get in one and Bofur sticks his head out and asks.

"What do we do now?"

Bilbo does on last head count and walks over to a leaver about his height, grabs it, smiles and says,

"Hold your breath"

Next thing you know you are under water. You gasp as you break to the surface. You gasp for air and look around. The water is cold. Your clothes cling to your body and your hair sticks you your face as you whip around looking for everyone. They all start popping up. You do a head count. Thorin pops up next to you. He gasps and grabs your barrel.

"Is everyone here" he asks gasping

"All but the hobbit" you answer.

He nods and lets your barrel go. You hear the trap door open again, a splash, then the door close. You think the hobbit, and you paddle back ask he resurfaces. He is gasping and thrashing trying to stay afloat. You grab him by the collar and pull him into your barrel with you. There is plenty of room due to you two being the smallest. He gasps a thank you as you catch up with the others. The water drags you faster and faster. You look ahead and see Fili he is frantically looking. As he sees you, you see his face relax. The you hear Kili yell hold on. Then Fili disappears. The waterfall pulls you down one by one. You push bilbo down into the barrel and wrap and arm around him and around the rim of the barrel as you go down.

At the base of the waterfall you resurface and you and bilbo gasp for air once again. You look ahead to see a gate, but it's closed. Bilbo was about to tell ahead to the others but you cover his mouth as you hear elves above yelling to each other. Damn you whisper. As you all start piling up at the closed gate. You see an arrow fly past your face. You turn towards the direction the arrow came from, and see orcs attacking the elves. The orcs were after you and the company. You realize the elves were kind of protecting you.

Kili steps on your barrel and makes his way towards the lever on top of the gate.

"Be careful!" You yell at him. As he runs up an Orc attacks him. He punches it and it stumbles back a bit. Once it regains it's balance it raises it's sword. Kili puts his arms up and the Orc falls to his knees then on his face. There's an arrow in his back. You all look and see the she elf. You let out a light laugh. Kili reaches for the lever and as he is about to pull it down an arrow hits him in the leg. You all yell out in a cry. He screams in pain and pulls the lever down. The she elf shoots the Orc that hit Fili. He gathers himself and as someone holds on to his barrel he jumps in, breaking the arrow at the same time. He screams out in pain. Fili, Thorin and I look at him worried. You all start going though the gates. The elves fighting the orcs. Some make it to us but we take them out. We drift down the river faster and faster. You catch a glimpse of Legolas on top of the gate. He catches your gaze and stops. He raises his arrow towards you, then puts it down. He turns away and finishes off the orcs. You smile to yourself and you all drift down the river.
